Not only poor service, but disrespectful and lacks basic decency
This is a review on strictly the service department not sales as my experience with the service department has been the most disappointing and disrespectful I've encountered at any dealership.

Since April 21, I've been going back and forth about a clear paint fading issue on my 2022 Ioniq 5 (Shooting Star color). I was told by the first service advisor --and confirmed by a technician--that the issue would be covered under warranty and that parts would be ordered. Weeks went by without follow-up. When I called myself, I was told the parts had arrived--only to find out later they only ordered half of what was needed, and now suddenly none of it would be covered.

I filed a case with Hyundai Corporate as advised, who told me the final decision rests with the dealership. After being ghosted by the service team for weeks, I finally got an answer - denied.

The worst part? The service manager, Jeremy, was flat-out disrespectful, rude, and dismissive. Instead of trying to understand my frustration or help resolve the issue, he was condescending and accusatory. Told me that I deliberately put wax on and that I should be accountable which could be further from the truth. I've been nothing but patient and respectful, yet was treated like I was the problem.

The only person who showed any professionalism was Will, and I appreciate his effort. But one good employee can't make up for a broken service culture.

I came in seeking a resolution and got mistreatment and a runaround. What could have been an opportunity to retain a long-term customer has instead pushed me to share my experience publicly and caution others to take the word of the service department.

Highly recommend to document each interaction if there's ever any question and get double/triple confirmations on open ended situations.

Avoid this dealership if you value your time, money, and being treated with basic decency.

For what it’s worth, I’ve also already reached out to the service director but as on theme, haven't heard back and don't expect to at this point

Bad
The head receptionist Camille Boone does coke everyday and is always late. Has had sex with more than two salesmen one of them being her boss. Lots of nepotism through out the place especially with the head receptionist mother working for Hr. It's a service porter that got away scott free from touching a previous employees butt inappropriately without consent even went as far as sending lingerie pictures. The incident was reported Camille, Jermain, Juan and two additional salesman and nothing ever happened. No statements taken or anything. The service department is just as bad as the sales department with the receptionist there sleeping with all of the service workers and a sales manager. The employees smoke and drink on the premises without regard for anything. People use gas tickets to get free gas on personal vehicles without higher ups knowledge it like a circus in there.This place is totally unprofessional and just down right dirty.

Calvin and Donnie were very attentive, quick to get my car back after servicing cleaner than when I brought it in, and always make sure that my needs are met. Calvin always make sure the entire process from making the appointment, dropping off my car, and picking up my car is quick and seamless. Thanks so much! I will continue bringing my car back for servicing and referring friends and family.

I love Hyundai and I'm so happy to choose South Bay Hyundai because of Calvin Jeong in service department,he is so professional and polite.he is not only very kind but also trustable.
To be honest I have my ioniq for more than 5 years but during this period so many times I thought that change my car but the only reasons I didn't do that was South Bay Hyundai specifically Calvin Jeong .
