Numerous safety issues
Got a used car there that had passed their safety inspection. When I got home, I saw that they had put mismatched tires on the car. They made me pay half the price of replacing the tires ($500). About 100 miles later, the carburetor connections came apart. This caused over revving of the engine and an unsafe situation. I found that two bolts, holding pieces of the carburetor had been loosened, and apparently one had fallen out. I also noted that the safety release on the hood meant to prevent it from flying back when you’re on the highway had been bent out of shape. This looked intentional .When the car died a second time and I was unable to jump it, I inspected the battery only to find one of the connections, the negative connection, came off in my hand. When I brought it to Ford and ask them to fix these defects and search for any more such safety problems, the manager told me it was the funniest thing he’d ever heard in 20 years and refused to help me.
