the Kar Shop is the only place in town that fixes your car right the first time, doesn't up charge and is cost effective. You can trust them! I have been using them and they kept my black Jeep running for over a decade, 13 years. I now have a 7 year old Jeep and I am sure they will keep it running even longer.

Accommodating and honest
We have been going to The Kar Shop for years and the service is always great. They are accommodating and friendly and dont perform services that aren't needed. I had the day off and even though they didnt have any openings, they still made it a point to fit me in. Rusty, you are amazing!!!

AC Condensate water came out of my vents. 2010 Camaro SS.
Kar Shop fixed my problem by lowering the transmission so they could access the AC drain tube. They did a fine job and kept me informed about the fix. Great Job! Second time at the Kar Shop, I'll be back again.

Great Service, w/ Integrity
I brought my X-terra in to have the the power steering looked at, there was a leak and you could hear some noise. They did some diagnostics, couldn't find a leak, so they topped off the fluid and added dye to pinpoint the leak. Brought it back 10 days and nothing significant was found and they said to keep and eye on it.
I already had another shop tell me they "Determined" that my PS pump was bad.
I will be taking my vehicle to the kar shop from now on and would highly recommend them!

Horrible
Crooks with rude and terrible service. They charged us over $700 for work that led us to believe it would fix, or at least improve to some degree, the issue we took it in for. It did not in any way, and according to them, the part they replaced 'looked new'; their words on my car inspection, so, why replace it and charge me $715? Shocking. The problem is still there and it's worse. We then had to contact them to say we were now having new issues that were not there prior. After having my car for an extra 2 hours on top of the 4.5 hours they already had it for, they finally told me it would take an additional 5 hours to fix. That would have been a total of 11.5 hours! The time frame was agreed upon by us both before bringing the car to them. I was there as the first customer of the day at 7:30am, with an appointment. Completely unreliable service. Even then it was just to 'test' to see if it would fix this new issue. An issue that was NOT present in THEIR inspection two days prior. Of course, at our expense. We told them no, and that we'd be taking it elsewhere. We're out $715 and our car is in worse condition than when we brought it in to them.They had our car for over 15.5 hours over the course the two 2 days they had it (and wanted it for an additional 5hrs!). Not at all the "quick" service they advertise. We were in complete shock at how we were treated. Elliot should not be interacting with customers at all as she's extremely rude, and Jessica simply acted like we were putting her out, and that they were somehow doing ME a favor. I was also completely ignored by Jessica when coming to pick up my vehicle once she discovered they'd be getting no more money from us. Simply unprofessional and completely untrustworthy. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Avoid at all cost.

Did not charge me when they could not fix my issue
I brought in our Jeep because i repaired the unit behind the steering wheel but my scanner could not recalibrate the steering angle sensors.
They found another issue that prevented their fancier scanner from working too, so they could not fix it either.
They obviously spent time diagnosing the problem, but despite my trying, they refused to take any payment for their time. They referred me to another family owned shop that they believe will be able to solve the issue.
The staff was so friendly and courteous too. You just don't find this level of integrity at many repair shops anymore!

Time frame and miss information
We had our car in to check an issue. Had an appointment at 8:30, we arrived at 8:35 and we apologized for being late. They dropped us off at home by 9am and told us it should be about 2 hours. 12 pm comes around and no update So we Called and they said it should be another hour and half. 2pm now and nothing so we call again, and again it will be another hours or so. 3:30 pm now again no update so I called and the receptionist answers and blames my wife on why it’s taking so long. She says to me “ your appointment was at 8:30 and your wife didn’t arrive until 10am, in that hour and half we took in 37+ cars, that is why it’s taking so long due to being late to the appointment.” But again let me remind you, you dropped us off at 9am, explain how my wife arrived at 10am At your shop when she was home carless by 9am after YOU dropped her off? She was 5 minutes late and we apologized for that, but you blamed your miss communication and lack of information on my wife arriving 5 minutes late? Not even a “I’m sorry we are busy” no just “well your wife was an hour and half late”. Every time we come to this place we are told “it will be a few hours” and every time it’s a whole day thing even for a simple oil change and this Time it was just to check my battery. You took the whole day to change my battery and then blamed my wife for arriving 5 minutes late (oh wait according to you, it was an hour and half). Check your driving time and check our check in time and tell me I’m wrong. I think it’s time to look for a better shop.

Passion for Cars and doing things right
Kris and the whole team there are really great and HONEST. DO NOT go there if you are looking for the cheapest price... go there to get a FAIR price done right. Been going for years. They are passionate about cars. Only hire experience people.. most have been there a long time. They are so busy there, but always nice... and it's because they do a great job. Kris is also great at recommending local restaurants and sometimes gives away peaches.

$120 down the drain
I was refereed to this company by a friend who frequently uses them to have his vehicle serviced. I called them to see which tow company they used, got the number for the tow company (KJR Towing) and paid the $60 to have it towed over. I was called back about 30-45 minutes later and was told to take my truck somewhere else. My truck is a normal 2014 Chevy Silverado with a lift on it, this isn't some foreign car that can't be worked on. Anyway, I call the tow company back, another $60 to have it towed back to my house and when the tow company brought it back it was damaged more than when it was sent over. I'm dealing with the tow company on that, however just watch out if you ever need to have your vehicle towed to a company, you might be out quite a bit of money.
