Not happy at all
Really, extremely unhappy with our experience at Union County Kia. We saw a car online, a Kia Stinger, that we were very interested in. We called and spoke to Larry Goodein sales who did a great job of tracking down the car, telling us what was going on with the servicing, etc. He was tracking that we were not only interested in the car, but we wanted to purchase. We even asked if we needed to put any money down or anything to hold the car for us and we were told no. We were good to go. Then the morning we were ready to head up to North Carolina (we are in Augusta) my wife calls and is told that paperwork was put in the night before apparently by the sales manager Nate. No communication with his sales force. Just sold the car right out from under us. My wife and I were really ticked off because not only did we want the car, she had been communicating with Larry for two days. We were getting insurance in order, deciding if we wanted to finance or pay out of pocket, and really doing a lot of legwork.

To then have the car sold out from under us and basically told, well, sorry, there's nothing we can do unless the other deal falls through.... We had been working with the deal first. The manager could (should) have called the other person and told them that someone had already committed to buying the car, because we had. Again, we offered to put money down to hold the car to prevent this exact thing from happening.

Bad communication between the sales force and the management absolutely ruined what should have been a really good situation. My wife said Larry Goode did a great job, but the problem was Nate (the sales manager) selling the car without talking to his sales team. But I'm putting some blame on Larry for not allowing us to put a deposit or anything down to hold the car when we specifically offered to do so. We have the receipts....

If you are willing to sell a car out from another customer, and the word of your sales force means nothing, then your dealership's integrity should be questioned.
