My 4runner went in for a routine oil change and the tech overtightened the filter causing the rubber seal to collapse and leak oil. I drove all the way from dealership to my house and the under carriage was covered in oil and no oil in the block. Vancouver did make good by giving us a covered Maintenace package, however pulled the agreement a few months after claiming the dealership was under "new" owners and that they no longer would honor the agreement. Smaller issues, but issue non the less like properly tightening lug nuts, reattaching components properly, but the oil was the biggest.
The latest issue just occurred this week, as I write this my truck in still at the service center. I bought my truck in for squeaking in the suspension. After paying the 185 diagnostic fee they determined that it was a driver side body mount. After paying and leaving Vancouver Toyota I immediately turn around as nothing had changed. Now they are saying that I need additional parts that would cost an extra 1400.00. They mis-diagnosed the problem from the get-go and even stated on invoice that problem was corrected.
Buy a Toyota, but do yourself a favor ad service it at ANY other dealership besides Vancouver Toyota, they will try and up sale you on service and maintenance, but have no idea on how to diagnosis and repair customers vehicles.
My Tacoma has had its rim center caps lost twice in which case they would not replace.
