Well worth the trip from the city!
I’ve been going to Whitney Auto for about five years now and I can say it’s always worth the trip. I found them through AAA and I’ve never been dissatisfied. Darren is honest and very nice and his mechanics are top notch! He does his best to keep prices fair, too which I greatly appreciate. Highly recommend!

Charging for Diagnosis
Came in for what I thought was brake issue, they put my car in the air and said it was drivetrain related. I appreciated the feedback but had I known I was going to get charged for a diagnosis that didnt seem very difficult I would’ve taken my car elsewhere.

Missed Diagnosis of Problem
We had our vehicle towed to this garage after experiencing engine problems. They were very helpful and friendly and said the issue was a faulty pump for the cooling system. After keeping the vehicle overnight for repairs we left after paying about $800 for the repair. After picking up the vehicle and continuing our journey home, the problem returned. After visiting another repair facility, we learned the we had a blown head gasket. We can’t recommend this shop.

Hey Doug - this is a hard one - You came in on a road trip and we honestly were doing our best to get you on the road amid the circumstances - When the vehicle got to our shop it had a code for the electric water pump.  When activating the pump with scanner it would not operate and then the tech hit it and it started pumping - The wrong pump then arrived from the dealer after giving them the Vin.  After the repair we ran it for as long as we could and we wanted to get you on the road.  The fans and coolant system appeared OK.  It is sometimes hard to spot Head gasket issues and the damaged must have been done.  I really feel for you.  I will remember this one.  Take care Doug.
