My mother went in to get an oil change only. She didn't request any other work and never approved any additional work. They changed her brake pads, rotors, did a coolant system flush and a bunch of other unnecessary work and she returned to a bill for over $3000!! This place is a scam and should be shut down. We are challenging the bill with her credit card and reporting them to the better business bureau. You are warned, do not use.
Let's look at their reply and see if it passes the smell test. Take an almost 80 year old woman who had just fallen at the establishment as a start. She comes in with a coupon for a cheaper oil change. This is not a person looking for major work on her car at all and this is not the kind of work you do when you go to get your oil changed. Now he supposedly says to her, These are the things I want to do and these are the costs: I want to change your front brake pads for $275 dollars in labor and $125 in parts, oh wait let's change the front rotors as well and that will be $300 for the rotors and more for labor. You know what, we need to also change the back brakes AND rotors (what is the odds of all of this needing repair on a car barely driven by a senior citizen .. see the pattern here) and that will cost another $400 in Labor plus $400 in parts. And since he's replacing everything for no reason, why not charge another $300 to flush the brake system. Oh and you know what, we really should do a fuel injector service for another $300 because that is clearly needed. Oh and lets replace the windshield wipers also and overcharge for that. And he says he presented her with an estimate for this work and she signed it and said go ahead? Who believes this?? This guy is a crook and a blatant lair. No estimate was ever signed or agreed to. Would you go in to get your oil changed and then agree to $3000 or work to change the entire brake system and flush it, do a useless fuel injection system cleaning and change wipers? Why don’t you upload the signed estimate you liar? My mother NEVER signed an estimate and she fell and injured herself at the shop so while they offered a ride home and pretended to be helping her they took advantage of her. Total scammers. Please share with as many people as you can. NEVER USE THIS SHOP. Everyone has gone to a shop like this in their life and most of us have avoided being scammed. He just preys on senior citizens. Horrible person.
Do you want to see what google AI says when you search? Seems like a pattern ....
World Class Auto Repairs (Boca Raton, FL)
This location has the most significant number of public complaints, particularly regarding overcharging and poor service.
Overcharging and unnecessary repairs: Multiple customers reported being charged for work that was never performed or for unnecessary services, with one individual claiming the bill was triple the normal price for an alternator replacement. Another reviewer mentioned high labor costs for simple jobs, such as over $600 for a serpentine belt replacement.
Dishonest business practices: A customer alleged the shop made an incorrect diagnosis and installed a part that did not fix the problem, then tried to make the customer responsible for the error.
Poor communication and accountability: Reviewers reported a lack of communication and that staff became defensive when issues were raised. In one extreme case, a customer with $10,000 in repairs claimed the shop returned their truck with oil leaks and ignored their requests to fix the issue.
Taking advantage of customers: One review on SureCritic mentioned the shop takes "advantage of the elderly".
BBB Complaints: The Better Business Bureau (BBB) profile shows multiple complaints where customers claim the business refused refunds for unauthorized or failed repairs and used threatening language when payment was disputed.
