Transmission shifter stuck
My transmission shifter malfunctioned. Coincidentally a new mechanic just started working the same day at YTire, a middle aged, well experienced mechanic name Jim. He diagnosed it to be an internal transmission problem. Fortunately, Jim is experienced with transmissions and YTire normally do not work on transmissions. With the approval of Jesus (mgr) and Jessica (who coordinated with scheduling transmission rebuilt shop) agreed to have Jim work on my transmission. Jim removed it, sent it to a transmission rebuilt place, reinstalled it. Minor adjustments had to be made to synchronize the shifter and the transmission linkage which is slighty shift and probably need a break in period.
Jessica and Jesus are very friendly and helpful.
I highly recommend YTire. I have been coming to YTire for the last 40 yrs. Seen mechanics come and go.
Jim is very knowledged and experienced with older cars and the personnel are very helpful and friendly.
