Slightly more than mediocre Genesis
I have been a multiple Hyundai owner for years, but my initial experience with Genesis was less than perfect. Me dealership, Coastal Hyundai/Genesis in Melbourne, FL, had multiple errors, a couple egregious, with the agreed upon deal paperwork, the car was not ready for me to take, so the dealership delivered it, but the car was not properly detailed, under the hood had oil/grease everywhere, and the matte paint was flawed. The deal made was initially "New", but then was changed to "Used" because it was a transfer from one dealership to another and the car had been mistakenly registered; therefore, Coastal Hyundai reneged on the "Concierge service". It took about five months and seven trips back and forth to Melbourne, from Saint Cloud, FL (100 mile roundtrip) to get everything to where it should have been when originally delivered, though this required the dealership to keep my vehicle for a month and I was told they refinished the paint? When I took the car back for one year maintenance, it was not complimentary, I had an issue with the rear window sunshade or sunroof, and was told there was a technical service bulletin and my service rep would call to schedule when parts came in. I never received a call back from the service rep, and while there the Coastal detail, messed up the paint again. I have Coastal Genesis an opportunity to do a deal with me to trade the G80 for a GV80, but Coastal did not provide me with a competitive offer. I traded my 2023 G80 with Universal Genesis for a 2026 GV80. Unfortunately, the quality of concierge service was not much better at Universal Genesis in Orlando, though they did work hard and find the exact GV80 I was looking for, when Coastal was unable.
For some reason, there seems to be an issue with Central Florida Genesis dealers and their idea of what a luxury concierge service should be.
