Great car, but I prefer the older model.

I am more of a fan of what the 2019 SEL model had, which the 2023 SE has those features, but it had a few changes that I found annoying at times. The transmission has been changed, the interior was changed, and a few key features I looked for were changed.

Backup camera is ridiculous!

The backup camera is in a split screen all the time. I don't think i need to know the weather, compass for what direction i am going on reversen, etc. Stupidest thing I've ever seen! Don't see a purpose for the split view!

The navigation screen blacks out time dash board lights dim

6 months after I bought the car I had issues with it. Navigation screen blacks out the heat display fades out to nothing dealership is horrible to deal with and Hyundai did not stand behind their warranty

OK.

Service Maintenance Department is way too expensive. Had a situation where the engine light came on multiple times in which we had to bring the Elantra into service multiple times to top off oil. I was told that oil changes should be completed after 8,000 miles. We actually change it every 3,000 just to be safe. My Elantra burns a lot of oil.

I love my Elantra, just don’t like it when the windows won’t roll down

I like the car, I like the gas mileage, I did not like the fact that the windows wouldn’t roll down, sometimes they would, sometimes they wouldn’t and the dealer did not make any effort to fix the problem so I traded it and let somebody else deal with it. Good luck with that.

Only problem is bay door for entrance is not manned so it's necessary to go inside to speak to service advisor All staff is pleasant and easy to work with. From initial call to pick up very smooth process

Really like my Hyundai

Car sits so low it is hard for tall friends or older friends to get in and out of the car. I wish car had windshield wipers on rear windshield. I consistently have problems with the dashboard mechanical system with messages that I need oil changes etc when I don’t.

Reliability is great

We first bought a 2022 hybrid. In town it was wonderful however we live 35 miles east of the town where we do all our business. The car was totaled by insurance company but only damage on the left side. The way the body is made the shop couldn't repair it? We now own a 2023 gas only limited getting about 50 miles per gal. In any driving.

Great mileage hard to enter and noise levels are high

The car has road noises my work truck with 176,000 miles doesn't have. The gas mileage is extremely high that is very positive. For my wife and I we both wish we had chosen a different vehicle. The sun roof looked like it would be great but we don't use it because it is just too windy and noisy.

So far so good.

The car is running as I expected it would, especially given the excellent warranty. Haven't had to fix anything. Don't like the little hump in the middle of the back seat, though. Wish it was flat.

This is the 3rd Hyundai I have owned. All have been great.

I have enjoyed my 2023 Hyundai. It maneuvers well and is enjoyable to drive. The features I most enjoy are the Bluetooth hands free phone system and the warning about vehicles when I am passing. I feel it is a safe car.

Of all cars I've driven, this is my all time favorite!

I've driven many cars including a Corolla, Malibu, and Scion iA. Have to say the Elantra is my favorite car. From its features to body interior and exterior, she's not only a beauty but a champion overall. Very comfortable to drive and mpg is definitely a plus!

Cheap reliability

Its reliable, but the quality built and design of the vehicle leaves a lot to be desired, even more from a respected brand like hyundai. The futuristic features that are heavily “sold” by the salespeople are actually so inconsistent it makes them a hazard on the road.

This is the best value to price vehicle I have ever owned. I previously owned a 2013 Elantra and the changes to the quality and performance of this vehicle is night and day. Once I test drove this car, I knew I was going to buy it..

Insurance

The car is very good on gas mileage. You get a lot for your fill up. However, the insurance is very high for that particular vehicle. We have a Tucson, which we like a little bit more. Do you like the Hyundai and have had the keys before and they were good as well?

good fuel economy

the front bumper made of plastic is of poor strength. In area like Chicago, if the bumper goes over snow , it easily cracks. The headlights are not bright enough for night driving. The vehicle does not have smart/adoptive cruise control - the feature really useful for long highway driving. On highway at speed of 70 mph, the cabin becomes bit noisy induced by wind noise. The rear seat is not 60/40 split.

I like the car very much, it drives nice, steers nice, breaks great, many safety features, good looks inside and out, the only complaint I have is the carpet is poor quality. The Sonata SE and the Tiburon GT carpet had very good quality in them.
