Overall a decent 4 door car. I do wish the backseat had cup holders in the middle. I can say it often looks like the hood and/or trunk is open due to the design.

Bring back physical buttons and less tech. Bring back a physical speedometer and seat back pockets. Remove the weird bar handle in the center console.

Surpassed Expectation

This vehicle has performed nearly flawlessly. I have had my 2023 Elantra SEL for 2 years now, and the only unscheduled maintenance I have needed to do is replace the screw on oil filter cap. It began leaking at around 74,000 miles. Nearly 80,000 miles now and still averaging 40 mpg on original spark plugs! I do find the interior build quality to be on the cheaper side. For example, my steering wheel began to peel in less than 1,000 miles, and the driver's door has an indentation from my arm already. There are spots in the carpet that are also beginning to tear from getting in and out. Overall, I recommend this car to anyone seeking a long-distance commuter vehicle. The ride is smooth, and the lane assist works excellently.

Overall a good vehicle

Gets great gas mileage. Has a good amount of room inside. Has several useful features, such as blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic warning, and a backup camera. The AC can get nice and cold when needed, but the heat never really gets hot on cold days. Touchscreen controls are always a bad idea in vehicles. Interior design isn't my taste. Built-in navigation system has several errors in its maps and there is no way to update them myself. It considers a couple of streets one-way even though they are not. Also has the wrong speed limit data for several areas.
