Overall this car is great. A bit expensive on the monthly note. Almost double what I used to pay. With that being said, I'm thinking of trading it in.

Practical in Style

The Hyundai Elantra is the car I was looking for with my budget. I wanted a car that would make my long, traffic-prone commute easier with driver assistance tech at a low price point. Further I appreciate some styling, something that makes a car stand out beyond a sea of similar looking offerings. Overall I have been pleasantly surprised with the vehicle, including nice extra touches like the nature sounds. The number one complaint I had heard was the lack of power, but I knew I wasn't buying a sports car and I am fine with it. Most of my complaints are minor, but most significantly I wish the driver's seat was more comfortable. It's okay for my commute, but I wouldn't want to take it on a road trip. My wife's Mazda is noticeably more comfortable and wasn't much more expensive.

Bought with less than 100 miles…

Overall great car, still had the inside wrapped! I’ve had her 1 year and 1 month, 1st issue started couple months in. Driver passenger door and the car’s sensors are either not synced or the framing was messed up because if I go over a bump it tells me my door is open. Sometimes it will go off on a smooth drive too. Second issue; early in the morning it will tell me not of my cameras or motion detecting are not working or are obscured. This has been a great car and would be perfect if my issues could be fixed. I’ve had a door latch replaced(thankfully at no cost) didn’t fix it. I’ve left it at the dealership for 2 weeks and they could find the issue. Guess I’ll have to continue playing musical chairs with my lock button.

You can't shut off the warnings.

The warning about taking a break goes off like 6times on my way home when it's windy I can't shut it off. Please fix that.

Great car, bad smell

This is a great commuter car and definitely suits my needs for now. However, there is a foul smell that comes from the vents even when AC & heat are off. I’ve looked into it and this is a known issue with elantras. Very frustrating.

Love my car!

This is my third Hyundai, all red ones! I’ve had a 2011 Sonata, a 2013 Elantra and now this 2024 Elantra. I love Hyundai for style, performance, and value, and didn’t even consider another brand when I bought this one. It has so many safety features and such technology!
