The 2025 Hyundai Elantra is ok to drive. It's low to the ground, so getting in and especially out of it is sometimes difficult.

New model is too small

The car is not what it used to be. This is my third Elantra and this is by far the worst. Not a car for family of four anymore.

Excellent Vehicle

The 2025 Hyundai Elantra is a fantastic vehicle with convenient features, high performance, and superior comfort. I've driven this vehicle in heavy snow, black ice, and heavy rain. Not once have I felt that I lost any sort of control or stability in the vehicle.

Hyundai Owner since 2003

i have owned Hyundai’s since 2003 or so. Love the reliability, but last years model interior has been disappointing. They took out the overhead eyeglasses holder, they made the cupholders so small one can barely anything. No more room for water bottles in the door. No room for change. My old hyundai used to have a compartment in the top middle lid that you would lift up. Air vents are so small they barely cool you. Even took out the pockets in the back of the front seats to store anything. Very disappointed.

I drive cars on an auto auction lot. Leaving aside all other makers, and talking only Hyundai, it seems that Kias are the "let's try this" cars, Genesis cars are "let's try making a nice car" cars, and Hyundais are the "algorithm" cars. They stand between Kias and Genesis. Average.

Great vehicle overall, some design issues for senior drivers

We love Hyundai vehicles and have owned them for 20 plus years. This is a great vehicle for all of the important reasons ( reliability, etc) but as we are now senior citizens, we have found that a couple of aspects of the design of the Elantra are not great for us.

Not an enjoyable vehicle

This could be a good car, but there are many failures that take away from the experience. It looks nice, sits comfortably, and is plenty roomy, but then comes actually driving it. Multiple interior rattles before its first oil change. Reverse camera is glitchy. And oh my goodness all of the warnings. Apparently I need a break from driving every 6 minutes. Apparently when you refill your tires back to recommended pressure, they are still low, and all the alarms go off for it. The “aids” are beyond overbearing. Pair all that with a CVT and there is no joy in driving this car. I genuinely miss my 250k mile car that this Hyundai replaced.
