Love not stopping at the gas station!

We've loved our Kona electric. The ride is smooth and the data it gives you is wonderful. The technology component isn't as intuitive as other cars we've purchased recently. Why isn't there a trunk release in the cabin?

Good value for EV

Excellent EV for price. It does not have certain things that were in my gas Honda HRV such as blind spot camera, more comfortable seats and heated seats. But the HRV did not have EV model so that trumps the rest.

couldn't be happier with our Kona EV

The Kona replaces a plug-in Prius hybrid. We were a little nervous at first, as this is our first EV, but by the time we drove home from the dealer it was clear it was the right choice. The UI is leaps and bounds the best interface we have experienced. Comfortable for four, excellent range, just the right size for us. Really no complaints.

My ELECTRIC KONA

My 2022 Hybrid Tucson turned three years old with 11,000 miles. I decide to take a look at the Electric Kona. I found out that the dealership/Hyundai was extending the $7,500 off the price of the vehicle on June 1. I bought it on May 31, 2025, making it affordable and considering that Trump was ending the EV rebates.

Fast and fun

This car is fast and fun unfortunately it doesn’t give very many miles to the charge so it’s not something you could take on a long trip without having to stop multiple times. Also, the cruise control will randomly stop and slow your car down very fast so you have to pay attention. You also need to get used to the breaking system as this car is extremely heavy Overall, I’d give it a seven.

Great car. some improvements would be good

This is a good car but an automatic tail gate should be standard on all models. Short people can’t reach the top easily to close it. A spare tire should be included not a kit. Seat adjustments on all models should be automatic.

My First EV

Extremely satisfied with my Kona EV. Its comfortable and quiet, and it gets me to work every day. Its my daily commuter car, so I only need to charge it once a week, routinely get 325+ miles per charge, and have reduced the cost to "fill the tank" by 75% over an ICE compact SUV. I love being able to control my energy efficiency by using heated/ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, and adjustable regen braking. In the first 4000mi, I've gotten 33% better "fuel economy" than the car's rating. This car fits my need, and is exceeding my expectations.
