Efficient transportation

Decent mileage and ride quality. Controls easy to understand and use, GPS voice guidance not as good as my prior Elantra (doesn't mute radio when providing instructions)

Love it, but...that radio!!!

The radio settings are driving me nuts! I set it and it resets as soon as I restart it back to the way it was. I cannot get it to stay. I've read all the instructions, all the tips and tricks, yet nothing seems to "stick". I hate to take it back to the dealer for this (minor to them) issue but it really is making me hate even turning the radio on anymore. 🤬

Great small vehicle

Great vehicle, downsized from Santa Fe/Tucson/Sonata. The sill height is not too high, not too low. I do wish the lumbar wasn’t so prominent or was adjustable. And even though the headlights are great, there really needs to be side lighting when the turn signals are turned on, there’s a total blind spot there in the dark. Expect to fill up the tank before 300 miles even though you get 28mpg combined driving.

Annoying and distracting messages while driving. While slowing down as per the speed limit, I keep getting messages telling me to take a break. This message is irrelevant and distracting.

So nice to find controls that are where expected

The Kona surprised me, in a good way. I wanted a compact SUV and looked at several other brands. Most of them had buttons that were images on a screen. The Luxery brands didn't''t offer anything special to justify the extra $$$. The auto park feature and even the hands free trunk opener actually work and are useful. Gas mpg is close to 30 and it gets a little better as the engine breaks in. Ride and handleing are very good. I found that I like it so much that when it was time to replace my sedan from another manufacturer the Sonata was so similar to the Kona that it was an easy decision. My ONLY disappoint is the lack of 'home link' to open the garage door. (My solution was to purchase a clip on opener from the internet $13 on line.)
