2026 Kona review

New owner. Still learning features and what steering wheel buttons and steering column buttons activate. Low mileage inner city driving mostly. the car is quiet and the ride is smooth. Plenty of power for me. A capless gas fill would be a plus. I will know the car better after four seasons.

Great little small SUV

My Kona has amazing technology even on the lowered/mid trim. Great size and really good gas mileage. 3k miles and extremely with this purchase.

Solid Car

Solid vehicle for the price. Love the interior and electronic features. Wish the 2.0L engine were more powerful but I knew from reviews ahead of time it was a bit underwhelming. Best implementation of a CVT that I have driven.

Power lift gate

I miss the power lift gate I had on my Tuscan. I'm very short and can't reach it myself without a strap. I only have the use of one of my arms and it is VERY HARD TO PUT DOWN. I have 2+ years on my lease,I have had a total of 6 hyundai cars but may look to another brand at the end of this lease. I am NOT a happy camper.

Number 5 is a Kona!

We were looking at New Tucson's but saw the Kona and it was a bit smaller but still had the size and interior room we were seeking. A nice way to downsize! Still a SUV but not a ginormous one.

THE WHITE RUSHIN

the first time is test drove the Hyundai Kona, I was unexpectedly impressed with how it handled itself. With the turbo engine and the turning on a dime, solid feel and surprisingly roomy inside, I would have never believed it until i drove it myself.

Reliable and affordable

Like many things about this vehicle with a couple of exceptions. Hate that there is no inside release for the hatch to open. Car must be turned off and opened from outside. Very inconvenient. Also no inside button to program garage door opener to. Never even thought to ask about those two things and my last five vehicles all had this.

If I had it to do over, I would not purchase this car

Two things I absolutely hate about this car: 1. There is no unlock button on the outside of the rear doors. 2. You cannot lock the car from the outside when you leave the car on. I do deliveries and these two things are extremely inconvenient. Also, the dealership did not install window tint before I picked up the car. They want me to drive 200 miles roundtrip to have them install the tint that was supposed to be on when I purchased it.
