Too many issues and service is terrible at my local dealership!
I was SO EXCITED to purchase this vehicle! I wish I had NOT now. TOO MANY SERVICE issues for a brand-new car. Battery sensor needed replaced. Motor and wiring harness for the Air Flap (backordered until who knows when) is no longer functioning and alerting all of the time. SPEAKING of alerting of the time: the cruise control system is completely broken. No matter what eyewear (or NONE at all) and no matter where I sit the cruise control alerts every few minutes that I need to pay attention or move the wheel. I dart eyes everywhere, wiggle the wheel and it STILL disengages on me. I HATE THIS!!! It is BROKEN! I am resorting to creating hours of video footage where I move the seat to every possible position, change eyewear, open and close the sunroof (both) and have other people drive with the same results to PROVE to my terrible dealership (service not sales) to ACTUALLY LISTEN TO ME. They have ONE service writer (and he is called the service manager!). No loaner vehicles (they "just signed up for this and it has not been approved yet). Just how am I supposed to trust a SERVICE DEPARTMENT with ONE person? I have no idea how many mechanics... because you drop your car off at the sales lot. This is not the experience I was signing up for. I have had four KIA vehicles.. and they were great. This is awful! I thought I was getting a "better than KIA experience" since Hyundai is supposed to be the premium of the two. No WAY I will buy a Genesis (on my list) now! I COULD NOT BE MORE UNHAPPY. There is a recorded shimmy (service didn't fix it, just said they noticed it ALSO (?!?!) The keyfob is as far from premium as is possible! It is a light weight, ugly piece of garbage that I am embarrassed to be seen with. The emergency key is not even built into the fob! You cannot manually adjust the brake regen (as I was expecting to have!) as well. If the opportunity presents, and I have the ability to Lemmon law this thing... I will do it without hesitation! Such a shame! I really thought this would be a great car! Interior is great. Looks pretty good too! Dealership service needs to be completely fixed from the ground up! There is no excuse for shoestring budgeting! The owning dealership is Ford, Mercedes, Lincoln, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar, and Land Rover... and Hyundai has a single person?! I have an excellent idea where their priorities are, and I am not part of their respected business, that is clear.
