2023 Palisade Calligraphy

I don't believe that there is a "perfect" vehicle that's a one size fits all. This Hyundai Palisade was my first non-domestic vehicle outside of a 1966 Volkswagen Beetle in 1980. For the most part, I would say I am 90% content with this vehicle, it does have some idiosyncrasies that kind of bug me, but I can live with. Number one is the push button shift selector which I don't care for. The piping on the leather seats after 5000 miles started to wear off, now at 33,000 miles. There's areas on the driver seat piping that are completely bare of any material. The one thing I do love about the car is the brake stop that allows you to pull your foot off the break at a light or a stop sign, this then alleviate the annoying start stop function that without the brake stop on would be totally annoying unless you push the button off every single time you start the car. You would also be nice if the entertainment and HVAC system would just continue where it left off from the day before or the last time you drove the car rather than having to reset everything every time you start the car. The 8 speed transmission can be a bit laggy at times, but that's where the paddle shifters come in and that helps to get into a lower gear to merge in the traffic which helps. Those are my main complaints and I'm not going to make a big deal out of it because I am living with it. On the other, hand I could've bought a car that was 20,000 or $30,000 more expensive and gotten about the same comfort. The 100,000 mile warranty was also a plus when I was purchasing the car. Style wise, it's a pretty good looking car, and the ride is very good because of its heft. I'll be curious to find out in the future when it comes time to either sell it or trade it in, what it's going to be worth in that scenario, time will tell.

Disappointed with Palisade and Hyundai

I bought the Vehicle in June of 2023 and I have had multiple issues with the vehicle and with hyundai. I have had to change all 4 tires due to them developing “tire bubbles”. I also had to go in and get my battery replaced due a bad battery cell. My car is less than 2 years old and I was charged 700+ to change the battery. I get warning displays on my screen that appear and then disappear frequently. I’m really disappointed with my recent experience with Hyundai. One dealership told me they would charge me $1,200 just to diagnose why my car is having electrical problems. My car is still under 60,000 miles, so I don’t understand why I would need to pay such an outrageous diagnostic fee when it should still be covered under the factory warranty. On top of that, I paid for an extended warranty through the dealership, yet I still feel like I’m constantly dishing out thousands of dollars for a car that’s practically brand new. To make matters worse, I know that if I bring my car in for the inconsistent warning lights, they probably won’t do anything because the lights never stay on long enough. It’s extremely frustrating and makes me feel like I have no real protection or support. At this point, I’m genuinely worried my car won’t last much longer and I’ll definitely be looking at other companies when I’m ready to buy again.”

Great car but some issues over the '21 owned previously.

I had a '21 SEL. Upgraded to a '23 Calligraphy. The '23 seems to have electrical and technology issues the '21 did not. The overhead camera has blackout issues on the driver side, the door unlock sensors are temperamental. The lumbar sometimes doesn't work and the massage is also spotty.

Pretty dang good but room to improve

I love so much about the Palisade. Feature full and everything works. I wish the Apple Play & Android Auto were wireless and the wireless phone charger is inadequate and awkward to use. Additionally, the Calligraphy model like mine should include a built in and hidden Trailer Hitch.
