Peeling paint and backordered parts :(

Honestly, I was a bit hesitant to believe the online reviews about peeling paint until it happened to me. I kept telling myself, how could that happen if it goes through several quality checks? But it does happen. My rear struts went bad within a year, and the dealer says the parts are backordered with no estimate on when they’ll be available. I’ve basically been in limbo for over three months now. How are parts for a 2024 model not available? I could understand if it were a 2004 model and the part had to be manufactured, but for a 2024? That just blows my mind. Definitely never buying a Hyundai again.

Too many bells and whistles for old people

It is a good size and comfy. There are too many bells and whistles for old people to figure out. Sometimes on highway when trying to figure out cruise control system, it will surge. Rear shocks gave out at 9000 miles. It is very comfy for long trips and holds a lot of cargo with all seats down.

Engine cylinder #4 failure

My engine cylinder #4 fails at just about 23,000 miles mark when my family was traveling in NC mountains last June. It was late afternoon and there was no Hyundai dealer within 50 miles so I had to find a local car mechanic to have it fixed for about $900 dollars. Tried to contact Hyundai afterwards to see if I could get reimbursed as the car was still under warranty, but was denied since I "did not contact Hyundai dealership to report the issue."

2024 DT Hyundai Palisade Review March 2026

My overall review for our 2024 Hyundai Palisade is that it remains an outstanding automobile. The styling is holding up well against the newer models and is still awesome. Performance is well above expectations, and our gas mileage experience has also been better than we expected.

Loving my Palisade

This car has been so amazing for my family! The gas mileage is incredible for a car this size. I wasn’t sure how often I’d use the third row, but having this large of a car is amazing when a group is going somewhere, and it’s great to be able to fold for more storage.

Horrible

The car has 3 open recalls with the important safety recall of the seat belts being back ordered for the past 3months! I have children and if the seat belts don't work and harm my family the company is liable.

My Calligraphy is the best car I have ever leased. It handles very well in all kinds of weather, is quiet, comfortable, and am getting a combined city & highway mileage of 25 miles to the gallon.

The car's electrical system is over-loaded which kills the battery in a 6-7 day period - which results in a road service event and another trip to the dealership
