Mostly love

I love my palisade and how it drives. Space is great with two kids. Biggest complaint is that the screen turns off at least twice a week and is unavailable (maps, media, music, etc) and I have no idea how to fix it.

Plenty of room for improvements.

Love the platform of the car. Way too many bells & whistles. Next time I’ll get the stripped model and deal with the cheap sound system.

All the bells and whistles! Not sure about the lasting durability...

For what the Palisade is and its intended audience, it's a lovely vehicle. There have been some instances in the past year where I thought, " Hmm, that could have been better designed/constructed." I'm not sure if it will last much past the 150K-200K mile mark (coming from an average 300K+ Honda standard), but the lifetime powertrain warranty from my dealer gives me hope. I do love all the safety cameras and cabin perks, and anticipate other manufacturers to get on board in the upcoming years. Turn-signal and 360° camera views should be standard safety features on all vehicles at this point. Good job, Hyundai!

Nice, but....

Overall car is very nice, good fit of doors, etc. Interior is very nice. Some concerns: interior plastic in rear cargo area is easily scratched and shows white (on dark plastic) where the scratch is. Color of plastic is not clear through. Electrical gremlins from time to time- lane change turn signals mostly blink 3 times but occasionally will blink 11 times, automatic lift gate opening (gate is supposed to lift when you approach car from behind when all doors are locked) is hit/miss. Dealer has not been able to locate any problems.

I have been enjoying my Palisade.

The Palisade has comfortable seats and plenty of leg room for the first and second rows. The third row is tight but manageable. It took some time to learn all the bells and whistles and now that I have had my car for a year I am finally comfortable with using all the features. There are a few things that it doesn't have that I wish it had. I didn't even check before purchasing that the side mirrors don't have a button to fold them in. I thought this would have been standard in a vehicle like this so that was disappointing. My other items on the wish list is to be able to wirelessly connect my phone and to have the ability to leave the car running and locked with the key outside of the vehicle. The work around for this is that I have to remove the cover on my driver door handle and lock the car with the key. As for the CarPlay feature I currently have to connect my phone through the center console, wireless would have been nice. I have been displeased with the quality of the center console. I don't know why but the console cracked and the vehicle is barely 1 year old. I plan to call the dealership to see if this is covered under the warranty. I love the performance and the ability to switch between the options easily from Economy to Comfort to Performance. All in all I REALLY do like my car so if you could add these 3 features to the new models I just might trade mine in for the upgrades.

All worked fine except the transmission, it used to lock up sometimes (not shifting from P to D or viceversa) that button system is not too reliable.

Terrible outer body

Within a short period of less than a year, the Palisade's front end has begun peeling off and continues to deteriorate, leading to an undesirable appearance and a notable absence of support services.

Affordable luxury vehicle

This vehicle is a joy to drive. Comfort, versatility and the all-wheel drive on this vehicle allows me to travel in all weather conditions. It fits my 5 grandkids comfortably or I can put the seats down and put my Great Dane in the back to lay and watch the world go by on our trip. The only downside side is that it is slow to kick in when trying to accelerate to merge into traffic.
