Got rid of it at 36,000 miles.

I loved the features this car had BUT the quality is where Hyundai threw in the towel. It squeaked and rattled like a car that had 100,000 miles on it. The Bluetooth didn't always work, too. Just too many red flags for a car with only 36,000 miles. I traded it in and lost money on it but I just couldn't handle the cheap quality and the headaches of spending WAY too much time at the dealership trying get things fixed. Just not worth the stress.

Love it but learning the worries and issues over time.

I have a 2024 Palisade Calligraphy and absolutely love the vehicle, as does everyone who rides in it. I read and watch videos about the vehicle to know the watch points for performance risks and have learned a few negatives. I have an occasional noise from the rear and saw that the rear shocks may lose an outer jacket causing that noise. No performance issue - just annoyance. I've learned that the DFI engine can foul over time and require walnut blasting to restore the cylinder heads to clean and optimal state, and I'm preparing for that. I've had multiple recalls sitting for months with no solution sets - that's frustrating. However, the car runs and operates beautifully. I did have one menu come up in Korean that was fixed automatically by a software update, and I have periodic "keep your hands on the steering wheel" alerts even though my hands are on the steering wheel. Other than those things, it's been wonderful.

Paint Issues

We love the vehicle however we’ve been waiting since December 2025 for new struts. Now we have paint flaking and peeling off the hood and lift gate, being told 15-18 months to get it repainted. So a good sized car payment on a car that will look defective. We work hard for our money and it’s disappointing it doesn’t feel like we have gotten our monies worth out of the car.

Excellent Vehicle

This is my second Palisade and my wife is currently on her second Palisade as well. We both love this car. Safety features are unbelievable and neither of us have ever had an issue with any of the vehicles.

Impression

There are many great things about this vehicle. There are a few however which are concerning. The wipers miss a section of the glass which ok with rain, but dangerous with snow.

Pretty pretty pretty good

Aesthetically this car is fantastic. For the price point it comes with a lot of features….but that is also the reason why I only gave it 4 stars. The software in the car is okay. The navigation is could be better. I don’t like the default setting of the engine turning off at red lights and stuff. I wish they would change the default to leaving the engine running and the driver choosing to enable. I am no mechanic but I imagine the constant on and off is not good the starter. The transmission timing/tuning/whatever you call it is either off or I am not good at braking how it likes. There has been more than several times where easing off the accelerator on and off ramp you feel the transmission slip (to me it feels like a small jolt).

After 2 years and less than 50K miles - starting to have regrets.

Was very excited and proud when I initially got this vehicle as I thought I this purchase would be a solid one. I have been very dedicated in keeping with scheduled maintenance that I counted on ensuring that this car would remain reliable. But with under 50k miles I have already had at least 3 recalls and now it’s been sitting at the dealership for the last 3+ weeks waiting to get, what should be an easy decision, the word from Hyundai that the now paint peeling on the hood will be taken care of. To say that buyer’s remorse has creeped in would be an understatement.

Smooth, comfortable ride

I love Hyundai. This is my second Hyundai the first was a Santa Fe, saw the Palisade sitting on the lot while test driving the Tucson, fell in love with the color and then took it for a test drive absolutely love this vehicle.

Great vehicle ... not so great Driver Assist

We are very pleased with the comfort, dependability, and features of our Palisade. With that said, the Driver Assist features need work. 1. Lane assist over reacts in trying to perfectly centering the car in the lane. 2. Collision avoidance overreacts to parked and crossing vehicles. 2a. In a slight curve, a parked vehicle outside the lane marker line is treated as a moving vehicle in the lane and slams the brakes hard. 2b. A vehicle crossing is determined to be a collision threat even when about 100 yards ahead and even when already out of the lane for 25 to 30 feet. The brakes are applied unnecessarily causing the risk of being rearended.
