Solid Vehicle

This is a well made vehicle that is comfortable and functional. It's not performance oriented so don't expect blinding speed. There's a lot of storage space. Lots of tech. All seats heat. Fron seats cool. This thing has cameras everywhere. It fits all our needs

Good for a large family

My new lease was to be another Santa Fe which I loved but they made the 2025 boxy and went back to an automatic stick, which I liked the automatic with buttons. I am sorry I did not look at the Tucson as I liked the smaller SUV.

Ok - but the price was a plus

Generally ok, the car play connection is problematic, as it randomly disconnects. Acceleration response is poor as it drops down the gear which results in more torque but a momentary pause in the acceleration.

2025 palisade calligraphy

Vehicle drives very well, is very spacious and comfortable and feels very safe with all the sensors and cameras to enhance sight. However, inability to seamlessly and wirelessly connect phone to Apple car play via dashboard system is a disadvantage and decreases driving safety as driver can get distracted when the wired connection disconnects. I expected a better and more reliable connection for car play when I was sold the car and given all other technology in the vehicle. Also, driver door cup holders are restrictive and not large enough. Only easily fit pliable plastic bottles and not larger reusable water or coffee cups.

Good but a few things wrong

Overall the vehicle is good. Seems to drive well in the winter. Putting back seats up and down is easy. Unfortunately there already 2 recalls and the second will take 3 hours, which is not good. The cup holders/storage spaces are horrible. When my daughter wants to charge her phone, it automatically switches to Car play, but I don’t want it to. The “consider taking a break alarm” is not able to be shut off which is very annoying when driving on windy roads in MN. 2 other people who drives Palisades have said the same things. The start option from the key fob does not work well. Using the app is fine, but I don’t always have my phone, and it takes awhile to send the signal. I drove minivans for almost 15 years, and for the storage and ease of having children, and a dog, I would be tempted to go back, even if it meant less power and towing capability. This Palisade was the first vehicle I have ever bought new. The warranty will hopefully be worth it.
