Great vehicle but I kind of like my 2022 model better
We upgraded our 2022 Palisade Limited for a 2026 Palisade Calligraphy. Overall I love the comfort of the new car and the tech is pretty sweet, but there are a few features that make me yearn for my older model. The pick up on this newer model is lacking. It just doesn't have the same acceleration as our older model. Sometimes I step on the gas and feel a hesitation I did not have with our 2022 model. I am also very frustrated by the "safety" features that needed to be added to the 2nd and 3rd row motorized seats. Having to hold down the adjustment buttons to gain entrance to the third row from the rear doors or to raise or lower the 2nd and 3rd rows from the back is a step backwards. I understand the travesty that lead to that but there has to be a better solution. I also do not like the steering column mounted shifter and start button. It is very awkwardly located. The engine start and gear shift buttons in the 2022 model were easier to control. I also prefer the cup holders of the 2022 model that also allowed them to be covered with a sliding tray to keep them out of sight at times. I fear the split opening arm rest is going to get damaged easier than the 2022 model flip top...and the newer one also seems smaller. I do like the compartment that was added for the 2nd row seats. Still have not figured out the utility of the UV tray. I could do without that. The charging mat for mobile phones is not very good. Positioning the phone on it is a challenge and if there phone is not bare it seems as if even the thinnest of phone cases prevents charging. A MagSafe connection would likely improve positioning and allow for better charging than the style used in this vehicle. There are some improvements though. The powered driver and passenger seat controls do allow for greater comfort adjustments and the full recline on the passenger seat makes waiting in the car more comfortable! The third row heated seats will be appreciated in the winter. The larger control center is appreciated but also is slightly harder to reach from a comfortable driving position. The pop up display for the driver is more feature rich and allows for CarPlay navigation to be visible when driving. Overall the car drives smooth, just lacks the power of the 2022 model.
