Third Santa Fe

We have had a Santa Fe since 2007 and have been blessed to have no major issues with the 3 that we have had. Although, the new one, a 2024 Calligraphy, has had a few recalls which has to make you wonder what’s going on with parts or labor. Also, the 2025 does not have the V6 our previous model had. The 4 cylinder with a turbo has done well so far but we are only 11,000 miles in

Vehicle issues

The tires that were sold on the vehicle were very prone to going flat, not a very good tire. The seat belts in the back seat stopped working not sure how it happened. But they will not go back in.

Sunny my Sante Fe

I love my car. The one thing I dislike if pulling out an exit on the highway or similar situations it seems the car hesitate. I currently do have to call as my check driver's assistance pops up frequently.

Overall, I would give this vehicle a 7 1/2 out of 10. Fantastic styling, amazing tech and comfortable ride, but the lack of power, transmission lag, and terrible gas mileage have been disappointing. Should’ve gone with the hybrid model.

Many Areas of Improvement

I've had this car for a year and a half now and I can't recommend it to anyone. It has been at the dealership for issue after issue. Recalls, system glitches and so many cosmetic corrections. I find this absolutely ridiculous for the amount of money I'm paying for this car. I can't imagine what it's going to be like 5 to 10 years from now.

SO MANY TECHNICAL ISSUE WITH NO SOLUTION

This vehicle style wise is incredible. Technology wise is terrible, errors that were major safety risk constantly for over a year of having this vehicle and no solution in sight to fix them.

All in all this vehicle has been amazing, the only thing that really tends to bother me is the sensor on the top of the steering wheel. It is constantly telling you to keep your eyes on the road even though you are.

Not what we expected.

To be brief- we traded this vehicle 5 weeks ago with 25k miles on it. It spent 5 of its first 15 weeks with us in the shop with a faulty transmission, then had to return for a loose subframe. In a 1 year period, we had FOUR sidewall splits in the horribly expensive, yet low quality apparently, Perilli tires... for a total of just over $2000. Not warranty covered since it was claimed potholes weakened them. The last straw was a noise and bump occurring when we started it.. similar to what happened when the transmission went out with less than 2,000 miles on it. During our 2 years, it also brought up many errors in the electronics of the driver assist system. It looked nice and road well, but we became convince lt was not going to be reliable, so it is gone. Never once,btw,did Hyundai corporate ever contact us about the inconvenience of it spending 5 weeks in the shop when it was brand new. No apology, no service coupons. Silence.

Driver Assistance Warning Negative

The vehicle, I brought it new. The driver assistance warning label keeping on in the vehicle. Even when I am Parked the sensor continues to go off. I call Hyundai and was told that it is not covered under warranty and I also took it to the dealer and no one can explain why. It makes the ride uncomfortable and makes you think something is wrong with the vehicle.
