We like it...with exceptions

The 2024 Santa Fe is a nice looking vehicle...we get compliments frequently. The interior is roomy and beautiful. Our biggest complaints are about the mechanics. The vehicle is under powered. It is a heavy vehicle, and the turbo charged 4 cylinder doesn't seem to cut it. The transmission is disappointing as well. It seems to have difficulty in choosing which of the 8 gears it should be using, often hesitating while accelerating during a merge, or any rapid acceleration. The vehicles are built with 12 month warranty batteries, of which we've had 4 in 18 months. This is just cheap and a ridiculous design, and the batteries are junk, as described by Hyundai mechanics. The tire choice from the factory is also ridiculous on the Calligraphy trim. They are an odd size, not stocked by many tire stores and are the most expensive tires I've ever had to purchase in 50 years of car ownership. They also have very limited tread life and weak sidewalls.

My Santa Fee

I am a somewhat disappointed that the battery died after only 18 months. And, 2 recalls already which is difficult for me since the nearest dealer is over an hour away.

Unreliable

This car has had problems from the very beginning. It has been in the shop so many times I’ve lost count. I went to the dealership again for the issue he of backup camera being green screen again and I’ve been waiting nearly 3weeks for them to call me with a loaner car so they can work on mine. I was 7th on the list at that time. At 70 years old I decided to buy a “new car” so I would always have reliable transportation. I always buy used, I wish I never got this car. Sometimes it won’t even start. Worst purchase ever

24 Santa Fe Limited

Bought new in 24, lots of bells and whistles, cameras all around, ac and heated seats, great stereo. Love the way the driver seat pulls back when you get in and moves up to where you set it. Handles fine fairly quiet on the interstate. Great sounding Bose stereo. Love that 2.5 turbo. This is my 3rd one, a 2016, a 2020 and the 2024. I guess I'll be in for another in 2028. Gas Milage at 24 to 26 mpg.

Earthy Brass Matte 2024 Calligraphy

This is my second Santa Fe, by far this 2024 is hands down better than model 2023. I receive multiple compliments whenever I’m at. Looking forward to seeing model 2027 when my current lease is up.

Handles Well Smooth Ride Many Recalls Transmission Repaired

Handles well and rides smooth with good driver display and driver assist features. Seems recalls are frequent. Transmission got locked in park and vehicle had to be towed with a month for parts and repair once they figured out issue. Holding my breath to see what’s next for fixes. Questionable purchase should have waited for 2nd year release.

Calligraphy level is lacking

Over all the vehicle is great. But, it's lacking at the calligraphy level for the price point. Seats are not comfortable and no heat in the 3rd row would be a deal breaker for most.
