Happy with my 2025 Santa Fe XRT

The Santa Fe XRT has been great over the 3 months I've owned so far. I've towed with it, taken 2 long trips over 1,000 miles round trip. And I've done several long day trips over 250 miles. It's been very comfortable and all of my friends who have ridden in the back have commented how nice and large it was. There's a few minor issues that could be improved- the touch controls are frustrating- the first night I drove in the rain and the window suddenly fogged up it was extremely unsafe trying to find the defroster touch control while on a busy highway. (Seriously- do they even think about testing these things?) But overall it's been a great experience.

Practical and awesome

Love the vehicle, not too small, not too large. Bigger than a lot but very manageable. Durable. Traveling was good. The only downside is gas. In a smaller vehicle I filled up once every two weeks. Now I fill up every 6-7 days. The more power the more you burn.

The car is excellent.

The car drives great. The Auto Stop/Start needs to go. The turbo is a little sensitive to throttle inputs. The screen with AC, Fan is not visible during the day. Even with lighting at 100%. Night time is good. some differences of what is there and the book cause issues. We were surprised that a garage door opener was not included.

Do Not Buy a 2025

At 3,500 miles and it needed a new transmission. 2024-2025 have a Dual Clutch Transmission with known issues. Hyundai is changing to a different transmission after just 2 years. 2026 has an entirely new transmission. That’s admission of a faulty product if there ever was one.

Horrible vehicle! The dealer experience was a nightmare and they put me through THREE Santa Fes within a month because of every single one of them having defects.
