Hyundai

I like the Hyundai a lot. It is comfortable and has lots of room in the first two rows. The third row and the trunk are kind of small, so you can have smaller children sit in the very last row.

Retired HVAC tech

I love the overall vehicle but I have a few gripes . First I do not like the auto engine cut off and that you have to shut it off every time you drive. Reverse the switch so you have to press the button to turn it ON not OFF. Also my main gripe is the steering wheel camera will NOT let cruise control come on if you wear Sunglasses. This is something I really HATE !!!!

Good looking, a lot of options, not the best ride.

The Santa Fe seemed to ride fine on the test drive. When I drove it home (25 miles), I notice a vibration in the front end shaking the steering wheel. After finally getting a service appointment (afternoon appointment), I was told I would need to bring it back in early because of the special balance needed on the tires. I had to wait two weeks for that appointment. I was told it would take 3 to 4 hours. I asked about a loaner but none was available on the day of the appointment. After they contacted the Sales Department, a used car was made available. I dropped the car off at the appointed time of 10:00 AM. I did some shopping in the area and waited for a call. When I had not been called at 3:00 PM, I called to check. The service department informed me that they had not started on my car. They would keep it overnight and start on it first thing Friday morning. I called back on Friday afternoon and was told the work had not started again but would be accomplished on Saturday. On Saturday, around noon, I was called and told my car would be ready by 1:00 PM. When I went to pick it up, the Sales Department was interested in the loaner but no one seemed interested in where my car was. I called the Service Department (while I was inside the Service Department) and finally found someone that would locate my vehicle. After keeping it for three days when I picked it up, it was very dusty on the exterior. When I asked about getting it washed, I was told it would be half an hour before they could get to it. I declined and left the dealership. On the drive home I noticed that the tire balancing had removed most of the vibration but not all of it. It still does not drive like a new car.

Plastic pieces falling from underneath car after 3 months

Ive had my Santa Fe for almost 3 months. This week a plastic piece was found hanging from underneath the car. I brought it in to Capitol Hyundai for service and they told me that they may need to charge me a $299 inspection fee to see if the piece was hanging because of something I hit or whether the bolts fell off and its covered under warranty. Im not going to risk $299 on someone's subjective opinion. So now I just have a piece hanging from my undercarriage.

I don't care for the big digital screen nor all the apps on the digital screen. Too many unneeded apps (valet service, vehicle diagnostics, etc.). You need a smaller screen, fewer apps showing all the time, and let the owner decide for him/herself which apps he/she wants visible.
