2025 Santa Fe Calligraphy

Great vehicle, but I think Hyundai should fix the brake rotors to be better for this vehicle. They knew it was going to be heavier so they should have put better ones on. I took it in and they said they would only do a courtesy one time on this, didn't think it was right since my 2020 Sante Fe I had the originals pads and everything since purchase and trade in at the end of 2024.

A small engine, but very roomy car.

I love the roominess in a small but mighty engine car. It comes in quite handy when more than 5 need a seat. The third row is probably best for children. All the features make this car a pleasure to drive in town or over the road.

Purchased the vehicle after a test drive. Comfortable, spacious and well appointed. Purchased the “courtesy car” with very low mileage. Was not expecting to purchase the car I did, but glad I did. Full warranty was also given.

Hyundai needs to allow customers to disable distracting/unsafe "safety" features like the distracted driver and "auto engine shutoff" etc. Unless laws are in place to force us to use individual "safety" settings, WE the consumer should be enabled to turn them off permanently.

23 days straight in for service

My vehicle showed signs of a faulty transmission from the day we purchased it. 3 trips to the dealer before they could prove what I had suspected from day one. The dealer ordered a new transmission. All is well now.

Decent SUV With Some Major Issues

In general I like my Santa Fe Calligraphy, but wish it had way better headlights, climate control backlighting, driver attention system for cruise control, and would consistently return the drivers seat to my driving position. The headlights do not provide sufficient turn lighting. If it’s dark outside you end up making left turns on faith because you can’t see where you are turning until the car is facing that direction. This sucks and in my opinion is dangerous. The backlighting of climate and other controls is so dim you can’t see what is selected and have to shade them with your hand to see. This is not a good thing to have to do when driving. The driver attention system for cruise control is terrible. It constantly is beeping at you and disengaging cruise control even when you are looking at the road. If you move your eyes from directly looking at the road, say to read a street sign it will begin beeping at you. It also has difficulty working with non polarized sunglasses. It obviously wasn’t adequately tested. The drivers seat is supposed to return to your driving position when you get in the vehicle. Unfortunately this only happens about 50% of the time. It’s not a huge deal as you can just press the memory seat button to return the seat to the driving position, BUT it’s a glitch and makes me wonder what else won’t work as expected. Finally, the cars wheelbase is long and making tight right turns is not possible and you often will have part of the front end in the oncoming traffic lane when making turns in the city. On the positive side the vehicle drives well and is very comfortable except road noise can be a bit too loud.

The Santa Fe it self is amazing especially the one we have. What I believe it needs to make it be outstanding is have the passenger seat mimic the drivers seat. My wife needs lumbar support and very few if any other vehicles have this. My rating below for comfort is only because of the passenger seat and my wife’s comfort. I have the top model.

Nearly perfect!

There are only a few minor issues I’ve had with the Santa Fe. Minimal things like what screen the info system is on when you start the car, and sometimes it’s hard to unlock the car using the door handle. The car drives great, there is almost no road noise when driving, and the sound system is awesome!

Electronic problems unresolved

The routine operations and infotainment system are difficult to operate. The windshield wipers do not work properly due to defective automatic switch. The HUD, infotainment screen and HVAC control panel are illegible and not visible. It’s been months and still no repair.
