Amazing gas mileage and quiet ride

Overall, I am very happy with this vehicle. I get an average of 48-50 mpg year-round. It's a very quiet ride and stylish vehicle. While I am happy overall with the vehicle, there are a few items that are annoying, like the very sensitive automatic emergency brake, and lack of designated storage for sunglasses. The vehicle is a bit small for larger passengers; my spouse is 6 ft. 2 in. tall and his head grazes the ceiling in the passenger seat.

Very nice car

Very nice car, looks great, drives and rides well, with lots of great features. I love the hybrid mileage. Too many features to understand or utilize so I just use the ones I know. 3 complaints: The mileage showing on the dash is always inaccurate and overstated by 3-4 mpg, still quite good but annoying. The transmission downshifts way to easily and makes engine roar. Very annoying to me. Resale value after 2 years is abysmal - lost almost half the amount paid.

GDI Engine Improvement

All Hyundai GDI engines had oil consumption issues since introduced from 2012 till 2019. Listening from unhappy Hyundai owners for many years, many of the owners had replaced new engines between 45,000 - 60,000 miles. 2023 Hybrid SEL has improved without having oil consumption issues. Good job!

Quality car with all the extras

I love my Sonata and feel confident passing it down to my daughter when the time comes. Very small amount of cabin noise but bearable. My only complaint is that I am unable to use the Bluelink feature. The previous owner activated the service and even after multiple calls to customer service, I can’t register the car to myself.
