Good mileage, uncomfortable ride

The car's mechanics are very good. The problem is with it's lack of comfort. The seats are too hard, the passenger seat does not adjust height, the A/C fan adjustments are above the A/C and air recirculation buttons so anytime we touch the fan up or down our fingers touch or even just throw a shadow onto the A/C and air buttons causing them to turn off. We have been owners of Sonatas for almost 20 years. The attention to driver and passenger comfort has been declining for the past 5 years. Sonata used to be the most comfortable sedan in it's market, now I am about to give it up. Please take us seriously and return to customer comfort, not just on your extremely expensive lines. Also the front wrap lighting is not necessary and has cost us and our insurance company too much money. It should never be in the position to be broken by a small pebble, poor engineering just for a design look.

What can be improved

The 2024 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid is a solid vehicle overall, but it falls short of the higher standard set by Hyundai’s other flagship offerings. Key feature omissions compromise the premium experience expected at this level. Up front, the loss of the 8-way power passenger seat and the integrated HomeLink mirror are disappointing cost-cutting measures. In the back, rear-passenger amenities are severely lacking, with no heated or ventilated seating options. Interior lighting design also leaves much to be desired: ambient lighting stops short of the rear cabin, and the wireless phone charging tray completely lacks overhead illumination, making it pitch-black at night. Finally, while fuel economy is strong, the gas engine performance is less than exciting—competing sedans in this class manage to deliver noticeably higher horsepower without sacrificing hybrid efficiency.

Could be better

Overall this is a nice car with modern features. The Bluelink app is really clunky and remote starte and climate take forever to respond to my biggest gripe is the battery. The battery often dies when the car is off and I have no idea why. I realize there is the emergency battery startup button, but there has been a number of times where the car dies while locked. This makes it impossible to access or restart the battery unless the psychical key is available.

Rides Low and no Airbag on Impact

Hit by a UHAUL truck while the driver was having a seizure. Passenger door and rear door with front wheel axil completely bend No airbag deployed Back passenger door not able to open for my son to exit Car rides very low compared to other cars on the road. lights are extremely bright Car rides smooth and hypnotizing smooth No injuries or death Aug 1, 2026 during the UHAUL incident. All passengers and drivers are safe. Automatic payments stopped when bluelink acknowledged the crash Humans at the finance company not able to see the crash indicator on the computerated bluelink.
