Sonata Hybrid

Overall I'm impressed with the Sonata Hybrid. Should have an up and down passenger seat and Home Link like my previous premium Sonata's. Road noises both tires and wind are a little loud at highway speeds , but are tolerable. Like all the safety features. I feel very safe with all the sensors. I would like to see an arrow in the outside mirror when turn signal is engaged to warn approaching drivers of my attention.

Almost great

Gas mileage is fantastic for this large a car. However the ride is harsher than I would like--bumps and potholes are very noticeable and annoying. Maybe there should be an absolute comfort model.

Wonderful vehicle

We bought our 2024 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid in October of 2024. I have a long commute to work so as of December 2025 it now has 31,00 miles on it. Everything has been great and have had no issues.

Comfortable with Excellent Tech and great ⛽️

Absolutely love my Sonata. So much bang for your buck! Overall look of the car is very stylish inside and out and the hybrid model gives you an unbelievable 600 miles per fill up, which by the way cost at max $35. Technology in cabin is fantastic! Great vehicle!

Standard Features

Lack of a power up and down power seat and Home link. Would like to see both features included either as standard or as an option. Wind and road noises are a little high at higher speeds. An icon in outside mirrors to warn an approaching when your turn signal indicates a turn in that direction, would be a good safety feature.

The car is nice with a few issues. Hyundais terms & conditions are not

This is my third Hyundai and overall I like the car, but I do not like Hyundai. I my rating of my Sonata with 5 stars. Then I subtracted one star because of issues that could have and should have been corrected with a System update. I took off the second star because of Hyundai spying on me and selling the data it collects Overall the car is comfortable, gets good gas mileage, and seems to be well built. It has some issues though. I can not hit the lock button on the inside door panel when I get out. The doors have to be locked from the outside and can not be locked until you close all the doors. This is very inconvenient in the rain. Android Auto and the car do not work well together. The gas mileage shown on my display and my real gas mileage are off by about 10%. I have had system updates in my Sonata. These are issues that could be fixed with a system update but have not been. My biggest complaint is that before I can use many of the smart features in my vehicle, Hyundai requires me to give them permission to collect data on my location, speed, etc as well as other data. THIS PISSES ME OFF! I have read online that Hyundai gets less than a dollar for the information it collects. So I spent more than $40,000 (and more than $120,000 in the last 7 years) on a car and Hyundai thanks me by selling me down the river for less than a dollar. This policy will keep me from purchasing another Hyundai. It's a shame, as in the last 7 years my wife and I have bought a Santa Fe Limited Ultimate, a Santa Fe Calligraphy, and my Sonata Limited Hybrid. We buy the top of the line trim level. The Sonata is the most recent and mine. Until I got my Sonata I had no Idea my wife was agreeing to give Hyundai a back door to spy on us. Do something about your data collection and I'll be back, as my wife's Santa Fe is coming up on 4 years old and we normally trade them in then. Leave your data collection as it is and I will go elsewhere.

Our 2024 Sonata Hybrid is a very reliable and comfortable vehicle. It's build quality is flawless. We have driven over 20,000 miles so far. Our gas mileage has been around 54 mpg.

Excellent with a couple small question marks

Love it! The only thing I would change is I would prefer the mid-tier wheel rims on my Limited trim as an option. Also, with all the bells and whistles this car has, I'm surprised that it does not include garage door opener buttons. Not a deal breaker but appears to be a glaring omission, given all the other options this car has. Another minor criticism is the lane keeping assist is fairly wonky. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I'm hoping over the air software updates will help that.
