Technological Wonder

The Hyundai Sonata Hybrid is a highly technical wonder in which you will learn to enjoy. Only feature I have a problem with is the auto braking at certain assigned distances which I feel can throw you out of the car if the vehicle brakes hard in front of you. auto braking is too responsive with speed control on.

Great buy. Excellent choice for a mid-size

Enjoy the lack of road noise and smooth ride I get from car. I also like the excellent mpg I get from my HEV, 50+ per gallon.

Gas mileage

The acceleration in eco mode is below standard. The combined gas mileage is supposed to be 51. I have over 10k miles on mine and the best I get is 43 mpg combined. So either mine has issues or your putting out false mpg figures.

Needs Plug in Hybrid Capabilities

This hybrid would be great if it had plug in hybrid options. The battery likes to sit right at about half full all the time. With a full cab of people and driving 75 miles an hour it only gets about 38 miles per gallon. Smart Cruz the car likes to hug the right side of the lane which can be sketchy at times.

2026 Sonata Hybrid

A small delay upon purchase due to a bad sensor and shifter needed to be replaced. Brand new car that needed parts replaced with under 80 miles on it. Since repairs, I'm very pleased.

Sound quality can be much better

The sound quality was great the first day or two and then it started to go down. It’s not very level between the front and rear speakers even when I have sound positioned equally in the middle. It sounds a lot lower on the rear speakers. Also, it would be nice if we didn’t have to manually unlock our iphone in order to use apple CarPlay. I wish apple CarPlay would just work automatically once the phone is connected.

This is my 5th Hyundai, my third Sonata Limited. I love them.

The have been absolutely reliable. You cannot beat the warranty. You get more options for your dollar than anyother brand. Styling has varied and contunually improved. My experiece with my dealership alone would keep me buying Hyundais. Chapman Hyundai in Phoenix is the best. My service rep Joe is the best.
