new truck
Bought my 5th Toyota 4x4 this year, only the second one that was brand new.
I wouldn't drive any other truck.
The good.
I know that it'll run forever just like my other trucks did.
No other truck comes close in real world reliability or resale.
Drives really well on and off road, especially with a new set of proper truck tires.
Fit and finish is solid and clean.
Great headlights.
Pretty simple dash and gauge arrangement ( I don't feel like I'm driving a smartphone ).
V6 is bad ass even though the gas milage kind of sucks.
Definitely not a deal breaker for me, I like the power and the 6spd manual transmission.
Greatly improved seats from my 2001 ( thank you Toyota ).
Limited slip system is awesome ( mostly )
All around Swiss Army knife of trucks.
The Bad ( or at least not so good ).
Reg Cab model discontinued, which I would have bought though the access cab is really cool.
TPMS sensors, good grief...
What an expensive and stupid thing to have.
Traction control in the form of engine management.
At least let the driver be able to turn it off as its unbelievably annoying especially off-road.
Same for ABS.
Limited Slip....
The system is fantastic and even though it comes with the " off-road " model WHY IS THERE NOT FULL LIMITED SLIP IN 4H and 4L when you need the f$&)ing traction the most.
Ridiculous.
I shouldn't have to spend another 10-15K to get the off road model with tons of extra crap I don't want
when off roading is such a huge part of Toyotas history.
This feature should be on all 4x models hands down.
Un-lit 4X mode dial.
Really ?
Mode selector buttons should be under the stereo not near the change stash above my left knee.
There ya go.
