We live more than 1,000 miles away from where our daughter attends school, so when she started having
temperature issues with her car, we were understandably concerned. The thermostat had recently been replaced by another repair shop before she left for school, but the problem seemed to persist. We called Wheeler’s Auto Service, explained what we knew about the situation, and had our daughter bring the car in. She had never taken a car to a repair shop on her own and was nervous about the experience, but she told us afterward that everyone at Wheeler’s treated her professionally and made her feel comfortable throughout the process.
What really impressed us was the time and effort they put into diagnosing the problem. Because the thermostat had recently been replaced, they didn’t simply assume the new part was good or immediately recommend replacing it again. They investigated the issue thoroughly and even tested the thermostat outside of the vehicle. Ultimately, they discovered that the original repair shop had installed it incorrectly. Wheeler’s technicians had the knowledge and experience to recognize that our particular vehicle had a model-specific installation requirement and knew exactly how to correct it.
We couldn’t be more appreciative of the professionalism, knowledge, and care they showed—especially knowing that our daughter was handling this on her own while we were more than 1,000 miles away.
