Overcharged, Detailed explanation below.
I was charged $170 dollars for a Cabin air filter removal that you can do at home for less than 5 minutes and a 18 dollar air filter you can buy from amazon. You can also buy your own OBD-2 Scanner to do a quick diagnostic test before bringing your car in. Please save yourself some money and look up on youtube how to change your own cabin air filter.

I called the shop to ensure that they would not repair anything on the car without my approval. Floyd agreed and said he would give me a call.

I received a call from Floyd the same day I brought it in so they were fast with there assessments, I was told the total would come out to 170 dollars.
I was told it would be 48 dollars to remove the air filter and 35 dollars for the new air filter. I asked him to not replace the air filter. Floyd told me that I would still be charged the 48 dollars for the opening of my glove box and assessment of the cabin air filter as that is not part of the 80 dollar diagnostic fee.

I am thankful that there were no major issues with my air conditioning unit.

I returned here because the air conditioning was under their warranty and I figured it would be good to get a professional opinion in case there is a major issue. They did a great job fixing the air conditioning unit when it was totally broken down. I strongly advise you do not come back to get your air conditioning diagnosed until you change your own air filter.

Keep in mind, when my air conditioning was fixed less than 6 months ago, I have put less than 6,000 miles on the vehicle since the original repair. My cabin air filter needed to be replaced but they never actually checked my cabin air filter when they fixed my air conditioning originally.

I asked for a price breakdown which I have listed below. I originally agreed to a 80 dollar assessment fee of the vehicle.

1 Cabin Air filter $35.25
80291-tf3-e01 is the part I received from them. On Amazon you can find this part can be bought for $17.99 . You should replace this every 10-15,000 miles.

Air conditioning service $79.95
Service air conditioner, Test system performance, Check condition of all belts and lines, Evacuate and recharge with reclaimed R-134 (This service is very much worth 80 dollars).

Cabin Air Filter - Remove and Replace $48.00
You can save yourself a headache and check your own cabin air filter at home. Look up the year, make, and model of your vehicle and you can find a video of how to replace it yourself in less than five minutes.

Hazardous Materials $3.87

I hope this review helps people learn more about their own vehicles so that they do not pay more than they need to.
