super negative experience
super bummed with my experience this past month. I've been a longtime B&G customer for repairs, oil changes and pre-purchase inspections. they were recently purchased by 541customs which I was NOT aware of until the difference in service was apparent. took my Toyota in there for a full tuneup the end of June ($800) a week later my vehicle broke down on the way to southern Oregon. $280 tow and $140 motel. took my car into the shop 7/11 after their staff stated it's a great vehicle, don't get rid of it. they stated the timing belt guide went bad and gave me a quote of $1800. Three weeks later 7/29 after being misdiagnosed they stated it's actually the 3rd cylinder that shot and my car needs a new motor quoting me $4000+ . Mind you they left a tool hanging inside on my motor back during the tuneup and this is a well maintained Toyota. i said NO, came and picked up my car that still had the SAME knocking sound it did when it broke down. my car was louder and broke down twice as I drove it down the road. The timing was off (which they claimed to fix for $1800 dollars. $3000 later, I have a broke down Camry.... still... proceed with caution. this is NOT B&G auto anymore...
