Response to my review on 1/11/2022
I wrote a review yesterday and it was responded to by James Marsh. I want it to be known that I am a truthful person. I did have service done on my car at 11:00 a.m. and I did speak to the service lady and the manager (Mr. Gallagher) and every word I wrote was true! I too have a reputation to uphold. My husband Doug and I have purchased several vehicles from this dealership.

Oil change
If you are planning on getting an oil change be sure to inform them if you use a different grade oil than what the manufacturer suggests. I falsely assumed that the sticker in my window stating that I used only synthetic oil would let them know this. After leaving I went down the road and had the correct oil put in. I called the manager to enquirer about it, after talking to the service lady. Both made me feel stupid for asking about it after the fact. Don’t do what I did.

Carol,

I verified and according to Hyundai Motor America, a 2019 Santa Fe with a 2.4L engine has a minimum oil requirement of 5w20 conventional oil. I can send you the attachment for your review. When a car comes into the dealership, we put what the factory recommends unless the customer tells us otherwise or there is a history with us using full synthetic. Your Santa Fe has never been here for an oil change prior so we do not have that info. Also, I am the manager and you never called me or talked to me about this, this is the first time i am hearing about it. I talked to Ashley and she never received a call from you either. I checked our daily call logs which are recorded and there is no history of you calling. We always encourage customer feedback, but we also expect the information to be truthful as these negative reviews affect us poorly.
