I have used Cambridge auto in Schertz for several years for automotive maintenance. I have been very happy. I recently took my vehicle to their location on Fredericksburg Rd to get my front hood repainted due to rock chips. I also had another few thousand worth of maitnenance done. The front desk guys were very tentative and seemed eager to help in any way. Unfortunately the communication between front and back was very very poor. The paint job on the hood came out very bad. They said they would give me a few hundred back to remove the burnt in buff marks on the cars body which they said could be removed with wax. I accepted and took to a detail shop. It cost $400 so I lost on that. But when I picked the car up from the detailer they pointed out how poor the new paint job on the hood was. Cambridge was eager to take it back to get it right. Unfortunately what they said would take a day ended up at almost a week. They offered a ride to drop us off but wouldnt provide a loaner vehicle or rental car so we were out another $350. Then, right after dropping the car off we called to tell them we had left the groceries in the back seat and to please please remove them right away. The guy at the front assured us he would take care of this immediately. Unfortunately, he did not. When we picked the car up they had left a brand new package of raw chicken in the back and it had spoiled in the heat the entire time the vehicle was there. I dont know how they could have been doing repairs on the vehicle and not smelled the rotten chicken that they had left. This was almost 4 weeks ago since we picked up the vehicle. Our beautiful Mercedes still smells aweful. We have used 2 car bomb air fresheners along with charcoal and every other method but the smell still wont come out to this day. Aaaaarrrrrggggghhhhhh. Aweful service. I hate giving a bad review and almost never do it but they sent this request for a review so here you go.
