Used Car Sales
Saw a used Acura RDX car on their website. Filled out the information on-line requesting to see it if still available. Received an email from them stating that it was still available. A few hours later received a second email with all the information on the car we were interested in and the sales person name. The next day I replied to the email stating yes we were interested in it and that we would be coming to see it that day. It was a 2 hour drive for us. The dealership was not open till 9:00 am. So while driving, at nine I called the dealership asking for the sales person. They said he would not be in till 10:30 am. I left my name again and my phone number. Never received a call back at all. Arrived at the dealership just after 11:00 am. Found the sales person and requested to see the car. I asked if he received my message and he said yes. Asked why he did not call back. Crickets.....He fumbled around looking to find the car on the lot. Took us to three other RDX vehicles that was not the right one we were interested in. He then disappeared next door at the Acura dealership for about 10 minutes and returned and told us the car had been sold today. He said he was sorry and another used sales person in the background you could hear him laughing at us at what just happened. I just looked at him with disgust and walked out. What a terrible dealership and sales person. Don't know why he didn't do his job and have the car waiting for me when I got there. And if it was already sold then call to tell me that so I didn't have to drive 2 hours. I then went next door at the Acura dealership and found the RDX car we were looking for sitting on the lot. I went into and asked the Acura sales person if the car was for sale. The sales person looked up the stock number of the car and told me it sold 2-3 day ago not today. Both dealerships need to get their act together. Was the car supposed to be on the used car lot or on the Acura lot? Neither one was genuine sorry for the car not being available. As for the used car sales person he needs to be let go for not doing his job. I would not do any business with either dealership. If they can't make a good impression upfront I hate to see what their service department would be like........
