Saved my butt!
My van broke down while passing through Hood River.
I had it towed to a friends house.
All the auto repair places were booked up for many days if not weeks.
My friend booked me an appointment at D & H A few days out.
In the meantime, My friend found a backyard mechanic who went to work on my van.
He decided that it was the catalytic converter that was broken.
My friend and I swapped out the old catalytic converter for a new one plus the oxygen sensors.
About $1400 worth of stuff.
It only made the problem worse.
Finally, an appointment opened up at D and H
The mechanic diagnosed the problem to be the computer that controls the engine.
They helped me order a new computer ASAP and they programmed it and made my van work again.
And I was able to drive home a couple days later.
Saved my butt.
I wish I had taken my van to D & H first.
It would’ve saved me a lot of money
