I am sorry that we did not make this a 5 star repair for you however we do want to note that you requested a diagnostic on the driver side headlight and tail light repair after you stated you replaced the bulbs, checked fuses and even attempted to swap the tail lights to see if it would work. When you arrived to the shop we noted there was front end damage as well as numerous other items at play, but we had you booked for a 2 hour diagnostic not knowing what all it was going to entail. Our technician immediately started working on checking the wiring in the tail light and found numerous areas where the wires were spliced and reconnected with masking tape. He attempted to repair those wires with butt connectors to confirm those were not causing the connection issue. After working on the driver rear tail light for some time and not being able to locate any other broken wires he then went to the headlights to see if he could get them working for you. The driver side headlight assembly itself had a small stand alone flashlight duct taped to the front of the assembly that you did not want the technician to remove. He then started testing the wiring and connectors and found that your LED light bulbs were part of the reason it was not working correctly as well as the connector itself being corroded. When the vehicle left here after 3.5 hours of being in our bay and you only paying for the original 2 hours we quoted plus the butt connectors and bulbs, the driver and passenger side headlights; both high and low beam were working. The only problem that was not repaired at this time was the driver side tail light, as it needed more time to test the wiring from the front of the truck to the rear. When it comes to wiring, it can be a lengthy process that can last a full day if not more which is why we typically ask for a vehicle to be dropped off at open (8am) so they can test everything they can. We were trying to accomodate you as you were waiting with the appointment and we were nearing close by the time the vehicle left the shop.
