They had my car for a month and the repair still has not yet been done.
Long story short, I would give them ZERO stars if the system allowed. They had my car for a month and the repair still has not yet been done. Dropped off on July 2 and today’s date is Aug 2, 2019, 6 pm. They won't inform the customer anything. The customer needs to call in to check on the status of their repair, otherwise, the shop won't call you and will not keep you informed. Stay far far away from this place. There are so many other, so much better auto repair shops in Chicago. Don't be fooled by the photos that the owner/company uploaded on Google or yelp. You see all the Lambo and Benz photos and think it would be a good place, Wrong!

As of this very moment, August 2, 2019, 6 pm, the very moment of myself writing this review. I have no clue about what is going on with the repair. Not a single idea of why there is such a huge delay. Moreover, no information on the actual date of the repair will be done.

Timeline:
July 2, 2019
Dropped off my car on July 2 for pothole damage and the repair was through insurance-Geico. I already know that something is wrong with the car’s suspension system and the wheel bearing/wheel knuckle because it makes very noticeable wobbling noise while driving and the steering wheel is off by 5-10 degree to the right. Upon arrival, the staffs were nice and I was greeted by the estimator Joel and I believe the shop manager as well. I explained to Joel that the car makes a very noticeable wobbling noise and the steering wheel is off after hitting a very deep pothole. Joel wrote me the estimate, he explained to me that control arms of the suspension and maybe some other components needed to be replaced. He told me that they will put it on a ”3D scanning machine” to tell them what exact part is being bent and what needed to be replaced. (Sounded very promising right? That ”3D scanning machine” is just a wheel alignmen machine). He also mentioned that they work with Geico directly and told me the repair should be done by July 10.

July 9, 2019
On July 9, I received a call from Joel saying that they need more time since Mercedes-Benz send them the wrong parts, he said Mercedes-Benz send them the parts for the left side instead of the right side; however, he said that they had already gotten the correct parts and it should be finished by July 12.

July 12, 2019
On July 12, I did not receive any call from Euro Collision, so I called Joel at around 4:30 pm. He told me that ”the repair work is done and we are just waiting for the tire shop to finish 4 wheel alignment and it will be good to go, but the tire shop is a little back up right now.” I ask him if they would have it done by Saturday (July 13), he said. ”it's possible, I'll call you in the morning to confirm.”

July 15, 2019
You guessed, no call, no voice mail whatsoever on Saturday July 13. On the following Monday, July 15, I call Joel once again in the afternoon to check on the status. He told me that the car is now at the Mercedes-Benz of Chicago because after replacing the control arms and did the alignment, the car still makes some wobbling noises so they decided to have my car repaired at Mercedes of Chicago instead. So what in my mind was did they messed up my car while they are trying to fix it? Who knows? However, it's good news to know that my car is now at the proper place and the proper technicians are working on the repair.

July 19, 2019
On July 19, I call Joel once again for updates. He told me he was just speaking with the service advisor at Mercedes in the morning and told me the car should be ready in a few days. At that time, I am starting to lose trust in them.

July 22, 2019
On the following Monday, July 22, I went to Mercedes of Chicago directly and see what in the world is going on. I know a service advisor at Mercedes of Chicago he told me that my car was in since Monday the 15th. It was just sitting in their parking upstairs. Apparently, Mercedes of Chicago are still waiting for Euro Collision to give them the information on what they had done to the car, what exact parts had been repaired/replaced and the final OK from Euro Collision/Geico before Mercedes of Chicago could work on the car.

July 19, 2019 to August 2, 2019
The last time I heard from Joel/Euro Collision was July 19. Ever since I’d never received any call from them. Now, every time I call in and look for Joel, the receptionist would just put me on a long hold and then tell me Joel is out for lunch. I did try to reach him on a different day of the week at 11 am, 12 pm, 1pm, and 2 pm, same thing, long hold, and reception say he is out for lunch. Tried to call in at around 4-5pm, and the receptionist would says that Joel is out with a customer. I left messages to the receptionist saying I needed to speak with Joel, call me back when he comes back. You guessed, no call back no anything.
