"I had an extremely disappointing experience with Pronto Auto Care. I needed a Class III, 8,000-pound hitch installation on my brand-new truck and explicitly told them the rating I required. Despite this, they installed a 6,000-pound bar. It took four days. They claimed no wiring existed and tried to charge me an extra $300. After confirming with U-Haul that the wiring was already there, Pronto kept raising the price. In the end, they tried to charge me $968, even though U-Haul would have done it for $481. Carlos, the person in charge, repeatedly lied and made up excuses. This was a huge scam and a painful learning experience for me. I was considering making Pronto my go-to mechanic if they were honest, but it’s clear that Carlos is a liar, and I feel completely ripped off. I should have gone to U-Haul, where they offer a lifetime warranty on the hitch. Please, take this as a serious warning—do not go to Pronto Auto Care. You will get scammed."
