I'm especially appreciative of the outstanding service I received today (5/6/25) from Devin and the entire service department. I love my 2013 Genesis. Happily, it's still if perfect shape due to the care it receives at Gettel.

Buy the car and then no kind service
They are very nice, kind, and helpful when you are buying a car. It is a different story once the transaction is completed. Left message 3 times with no call back. Young lady on phone just kept repeating that they are very busy. I said a call back would be welcomed, but she repeated her script. I would go somewhere else for my car.

Overall Customer Experience
If I could give it 0 Stars I would. Usually with the name Gettle Hyundai you can be assured that you are buying something with confidence, and worry free, and you’re getting good quality but they’re no better than the mom and pop buy here pay here. They are worst! I recently purchased a used vehicle from them and not even 2 weeks after I purchased it the Engine blew. I contacted them, and spoke to a gentleman man named Flint and since then I have just been getting the run around. No call back nothing! So I paid 25k for a vehicle, and have not even made my first payment on it yet and have to figure out a way to put 16k into it for a new engine! Pls be aware on who you do business with! They smile as they take your money but when things go wrong they hide behind the Gettle name! Great job on taking advantage of us the little guys and crippling a family of 5!

It's All About The Money
My daughter was searching for cars with Carfax. She found the car of her dreams at Gettel Hyundai. She contacted the dealer and started what she thought was the buying process, including completing a credit app. When she called the next morning to get a status update she was informed the car was sold to someone else. The salesman said it was out of his control, a manager had let the car go because they do not hold cars. So, the car is gone, and no one really cares about my daughter's deal. This dealer is all about the money. For example, in every used car contract they include an Average Investment Reconditioning cost of $1,495 and a Pre-Delivery Service Charge of $1,099. So, there is $1,500 to wash and vacuum the car, and the salesman told me the $1,099 goes in Mr. Gettel's pocket to "help pay expenses." If you would prefer not to deal with a dealer that typifies the "used car dealer," then find someone else to buy a car from.

UPDATE: Within two hours my daughter found the same model car with similar mileage and price at Courtesy Chrysler Jeep in Tampa. She asked them if they would sell the car out from under her while she was completing the finance application. They responded, "no that would not be fair, we would never do that." She completed the app, was approved in less than a minute, and the deal was sealed. And, there was no Average Investment Reconditioning or Pre-Delivery Service Charge! How Gettel Hyundai gets good reviews is beyond me.

High fees and add on packages
Make sure to shop around and save yourself thousand of dollars literally! We recently were in market for 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited. We checked all the dealers within 2 hours of us here. Saved probably over $4000 compared to Gettel. Hyundai of Central FL had $1000 discount, no doc fees, no add on packages and only charged actual cost for registration. See below what Gettel charges. Almost $3000 between pre-delivery service charge and gettel protection package.
Prices are PLUS tax, tag, title fee, $1,099 Pre-Delivery Service Charge** and $385 Electronic Registration Filing Fee**. New vehicle pricing excludes the $1,995 Gettel Protection Package. Fees/charges represents costs and profit to the dealer for items such as inspecting, cleaning, and adjusting vehicles, and preparing documents related to the sale.

Service dept sucks!!!
I am so disappointed in the lack of humanity in the service dept. I couldn't get service, even though I explained the dire circumstances of my need. All I wanted was my windshield washer checked and repaired, since I have to travel for my brother's funeral. The guy, practically hung up on me!!!!
The service is covered under the warranty and I have been a model customer. I will never go to Gettel Hyundai, Lakewood again!!

Unfinshed zservice
First it took me almost 2 months to make a appt for my service plan because their website was not working to schedule appts.I work night shift and is difficult to make phone calls during regular business hours.
After finally making a appt for 9/26..i took the car in and 300$ later which i didnt mind paying on top of my service plan as long as things were done correctly.
They apparently lost a clamp or screw to the mud flap on my rear tire. Due to the hurricane I was not able to bring it back in till today.10/3.
Someone eventually came out looked and it and told me i would need to make another appt....UNACCEPTABLE ! I should not have to spend more of my time sitting there while they fix something they did not fix correctly. Very dissatisfied..

Deceptive practices
am sad to share this review, as I think Hyundai makes a great car. This review is solely about the dealership and their lease buyout practices. I leased a Hyundai for my daughter in 2019 and that lease ended in May of 2022. I was told by Hyundai that I should go to the nearest dealership if I wanted to purchase the car with the lease buyout option. I made an appointment over the phone and at that time was told I had to pay for a required safety inspection to buyout the car, which would be $500.00. In between the phone call and my appointment I read the lease contract which had no mention of the required safety inspection. I went to the appointment and was then told this inspection was now $600.00 and the tag and title fees would be $799.00 on top of that. I quickly googled tag and title fees in Florida and they are about $75 not $799. I questioned both fees and told them it’s not in my lease contract. I then called Hyundai Motor Finance and was now told I could use a third party company to complete the buyout. The company is called Tresl. I then called Tresl and gave them all of my information, they immediately said their fee is $399.00 plus tags and title which was $136.00. I told this the salesman Alan who was helping me and even showed him a local article discussing how dealerships are charging fees that are illegal to customers trying to buyout their leased car. In the end I used Tresl, they saved me $1000.00 in fees that Lakewood Hyundai insisted were non negotiable and standard fees that the state of Florida required! I am so disappointed in my only and final interaction with this dealership, they lied, tried to take my money unnecessarily and I hope no one falls for their tactics. My buyout on my lease contract was $16027.00 attached are photos of what the dealership wanted to charge and the buy out Tresl provided. Knowing how they handled this I wouldn’t trust purchasing from them either

One of the best dealerships I have used.
Waiting area is clean and comfortable, The staff go over what needs to be done with the car and what it will cost. If service takes a little longer, they keep you informed. The car is thoroughly cleaned before they return it to you. My wife bought this car from Gettel in 2006 and it's still a pleasure to drive. It's only used half a year but starts right up after sitting 6 months a year in our Florida garage.

All my experiences have been great . My most recent was 3/18/22 Juan and Ms George were exceptional on getting all the work done I needed being handiccaped. They were very informative when I brought the vehicle in for service .They changed all fluids on my vehicle and noticed I needed front brakes. They assigned a wonderful mechanic and I was able to watch him work on my car .They were so good I was able to purchase 2 new tires. The service was excellent. The bathroom was spotless, they provided bottle water or coffee. This is the place to go if you want honest quality work.
