While I was packing up and moving my entire house, the fuel pump went out on my old 4Runner and I simply didn't have the time to replace it myself. So I paid H & R $75 to tow it around 5 or 6 blocks down the road to their shop where they said they could have the fuel pump replaced in only a few days. But a couple of days later, I received a call from an employee at the shop telling me that the shop's owner decided that he didn't feel like replacing it after all, and that it would need to be towed elsewhere to have the work done. So, another $125 later, they towed it to another shop down the road to have the fuel pump replaced by them instead. I've been in H & R a few times before over the years, and I've liked the people who work there, and the work which they have performed for me in the past. But losing time and money with the owner just changing his mind about the fuel pump work while I was in the middle of moving an entire household halfway across the state, with no time or money to spare to get it done, ended up costing me right around $10,000 in the end because of the delay of those days, in addition to the $200 I paid to have it transported down the street for absolutely nothing. I wish H & R all the best in the future, but this experience guarantees that I myself won't ever use their services, or recommend them to anyone else ever again.
