Warranty coverage
My daughter in law had her engine replaced back in Jan. 2024. Her engine light came on roughly a week ago or so. The car was taken to a mechanic for observation prior to taking it to the dealership and was told that she will need the engine replaced (again). Now the dealership says that the engine needs to be replaced but they are not covering it under warranty because it was a quart low on oil. Yes a quart low! The dealer changed the oil in mid July and the car was driven a thousand miles prior to taking it in for the engine light being on. The code read as PO301. Which means cylinder 1 was misfiring. My daughter in law pays $150 a month for warranty. It is terrible what this dealership/warranty company is doing. I have already contacted a lawyer about this. I don’t why it has to come to this.
