Predatory sales & lending practices
Had an extremely disappointing experience with HBI Auto and strongly advise others not to proceed with conducting any business with these folks. As a real customer—not a fake profile—I feel it’s important to share what happened to me. After placing a DEPOSIT (not a payment) of several thousands of dollars on a vehicle, I was met with unprofessional behavior and, ultimately, lost my money under circumstances I believe were predatory, misleading and unfair business practices. When I raised concerns, I was threatened with legal action rather than being offered a resolution.
Their kind of treatment is unacceptable, especially in an industry that relies on trust and transparency.
Billy and gang should thread lightly and be aware.

Deceptive sale Practice
This company lacks professionalism, courtesy, integrity and respect for people. I filed a report with the North Carolina state Police after they forged my name and had the paperwork notarized at their dilapidated business. They stole the title to my car I was going to trade which they will never be in possession of . Stay Away. I rather stab myself in the eye with a rusty nail than do business with them.

Total Fraud Dealership
Honesty, integrity and common decency are bankrupt at this dealership. After agreeing on price and trade, unforeseen circumstances rapidly deteriorated this agreement that compelled me to revaluate this contract and review all legal documents. They forged my signature which were notarized not in my presence but by them, in house over 800 miles separating us. . I spoke with Finance manager and we agreed to void contract. Unbeknownst to me, they never refunded the money to the bank. Three Months later I have now been in contact with bank explaining that I never completed sale and that I never secured car that was financed.. They are now aware that HBI auto still has the Porsche I was going to purchase sitting in their dilapidated worn out broken down dealership. The Lack of compliance manger then went ahead and filed a false instrument with the state of NY DMV and secured a title to my Corvette with a forged signature in my name. It was not until the North Carolina Highway Patrol notified me of this deception, that this occurred. Prior to this, the lack of compliant manager Mary Valhos attempted to report my Corvette stolen in the State of NY sending the Police to my residence. Their investigation revealed that HBI auto was conducting business in a fraudulent manner. Their attempted threats to intimate me failed when I pushed back and this incident has now turned into a criminal investigation as the owners are now the subjects of an investigation from NY to North Carolina.
This company believes in it's own false narrative. After their attempt to report my car stolen, they then hired a recovery company to seize my car. On the affidavit they falsely identified themselves as a bank and stated that I owed them $43,000......STAY AWAY, BE CAUTIOUS! You would have a better chance of flying the space shuttle than have a smooth experience with this unscrupulous company.

SCAM AWARENESS - 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
this dealer is very good at one thing and it’s not selling cars it’s scamming people and stealing money do not give them any money or leave them a deposit I highly recommend u save ur time and search elsewhere this dealer will not contact u back fast until they take ur deposit then they won’t really put u as priority and especially if ur not local then they will put u on hold for there 48 hour deposit agreement and then sell the car and keep ur money before u have the chance to even finish the deal also please do a ppi inspection as mostly all there cars are all wrecked vehicles bought from track wrecks hence why the car fax on them will mainly be hidden from any damages

I HAVE DONE BUSINESS HERE BUT SINCE THEY DIDN'T WANNA RESOLVE ANYTHING I PREFER TO KEEP MY NAME ANONYMOUS AS THEY THREATENED ME

Unethical Sales Practices
Don't waste your time and money on these guys. The cars and the deals are completely misrepresented, they lure you with financing deals they can't deliver, tack a bunch of unnecessary add-ons to the price of the car, and then withhold your deposit if you don't accept their terms "as is". It's unethical, especially for a Porsche dealership, and quite frankly probably illegal they way they are conducting business. Be smart and stay away

Non refundable deposits, ilegal contract, sorry excuses.
Excellent sales guy Niko, we had a great chat. End of the month approaching for a dealership which looks to have great reviews and awesome cars.
They pressured me to sign a contract and pay a deposit to secure a car. They couldn’t get me a loan because “I have almost 400k in auto loans ?”. My credit union took care of it right away and they were getting a check mailed after the weekend.
The same day I left the deposit I got a call telling me they sold the car to someone else with some story that I took too long to place the deposit. I waited to have financing secure before I paid “non refundable” moneys. Wouldn’t you?
Followed by the CEO telling me I took too long to leave the deposit, then telling me the deposit would hold the car for 48 hours, which did not. Also threatening me telling me he wasn’t obligated to refund my deposit and forcing me to remove my negative reviews because I signed a clause in their contract that prohibited me to do exactly this.
The clause is illegal and against The Consumer Review Fairness Act (CRFA)
He gave me 24 hours to remove all
any reviews, using my deposit as leverage and their illegal sales contract. Beware.

Unprofessional practices.
I felt pressured to place a deposit on a vehicle, only to discover it was sold out from under me. Now, I’m coordinating with my credit union from out of state because HBI was unable to secure financing for me. Since Friday, my credit union has been working to finalize the process and send a check. Then, on Saturday afternoon, I got a call urging me to leave a deposit immediately, as there was another interested buyer for the car I was trying to purchase. I quickly signed their Docusign contract and paid the required deposit.

Later that evening, I was informed by Cameron that someone had already placed a deposit before me, even before they asked for my credit application and ran credit checks on my wife and me. Before I even had a chance to secure financing through my credit union, the vehicle was suddenly sold, and now they want to assist me in finding a different one.

On a brighter note, Niko was excellent during our discussions and very easy to talk to. However, I was asked to apply for financing on a vehicle they claimed was already sold, which resulted in unnecessary credit inquiries. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating. If you plan to buy from this dealership, I strongly advise visiting in person to see and inspect the vehicle you’re interested in, especially if you’re out of state. But be warned, it may already be sold. Such unprofessional behavior is disappointing.

Car in the shop less than 1 hour after purchase
Bought car online, they delivered to the wrong address. After getting the car to the right address, drove around the block and smelled coolant through the vents. Parked in the driveway and noticed antifreeze pouring from the engine bay. Luckily I still had a factory warranty that covered that, but after getting the car to the legit dealership. They notified me that my front brakes were near metal to metal and there was rodent damage under the hood. Quoted me $2k+ for repairs. After back and forth with hbi, the sales manager told me "things happen". So in less than 24hrs of owning the vehicle I have racked up a bill for over $2k and car i bought that day in the shop for a week. But hey, "things happen" as I was told. Shame on me for buying online.

HBI's Paint Protective Film application failed - four times
We spent $3,202.50 to get our car wrapped with XPEL Paint Protective Film and ceramic coated. HBI tried four times - and each time the car was returned with bubbles and blemishes.

HBI Auto refused to remove the bad 4th attempt at wrapping the car and refused to return our money.

Shady dealership!
I live near Hbi and let just say this place this a joke,Ran by kids that run the crap out of these used cars up and down mocksville nc. They try to sell you crap you don't need all sales people are shady! If you have a problem owner won't call you back or see you in person if their is an issue. Most cars are damaged or have problems they won't tell you about.Detail department looks like a chop shop and the work is not a+ quality. Automatic car washes would do a better job.Take your car somewhere else that knows what they are doing. Make sure you inspect your car with a find comb if you take it there. This place is a embarrassment to my hometown.
