Brought it in for a P2122. They ran diagnostic believed it to be a corroded ground. I approved the repair and they returned the vehicle. Exactly one week after pick up the code popped and my car ended “limp mode” again.
I reached out to Dan and his team to update them on the repair and to schedule a time to have it looked at. Upon dropping it off I was surprised to find they want an additional 300 diagnostic fee to look at it again. For the same issue, a week later. Claiming their time is what I pay for. But I paid to have my car fixed. Which didn’t happen. Now I’m out the 300 for the initial diagnostic plus their “attempted repair” for lack of better term to be in the same situation when my car breaks down.
Per the owner Dan. A diagnostic fee is paid for “one troubleshooting attempt” it doesn’t seem to matter if they hit their mark at all.
Save your money find a better shop or if you can afford multiple 300 diagnostic fees just see your local dealer.
I’ve spoken to half a dozen independent shops since this interaction none of which said they’d charge an additional diagnostic if they failed to identify the issue
