I rarely ever write reviews, but the outstanding service I received at J&J Automotive needs to be shared. If you own a truck—whether it's gas or diesel—John is the person you want working on your vehicle. Someone gave my daughter an old Ford truck with a 6.9 diesel engine that had been sitting for 12 years. It was a massive project—there were literally two buckets of acorns sitting on top of the engine block when we started. I was incredibly anxious to find an honest, highly skilled diesel mechanic who wouldn't rip me off. Luckily, the universe sent me to John. He used to train the mechanics at a Ford dealership, so his knowledge is top-tier, but his prices are much better than dealership rates. He promised he would save me money and keep costs down as much as possible could. He stayed within $150 of his original quote on months of work! We told him there was no rush, and when he finished, the truck ran beautifully. He completely won all of my future business right then and there.To make a great story even better: We were recently camping way out of town, and my own truck started acting up. I had to take it to a local dealership, and when I mentioned John’s recent work, the dealership actually called him up. Even though it was something else entirely and had absolutely nothing to do with John's previous repair, John dropped everything he was doing to talk to them and help sort it out. The dealership technicians explicitly told me that John was an absolute asset in getting my truck repaired quickly. (Though I certainly wasn't relieved when I saw the dealership's high labor bill!)Next time we go camping, we might just have to take John with us! He is a truly great guy, and you can completely trust his judgment, integrity, and repair knowledge.
