The issue is with the service department, not sales.
Before driving from Rhode Island to Florida, we were told by David that our oil change and inspection were completed. After arriving in Florida, we learned the oil change was never done, which the shop later admitted and refunded. The oil filter wasn’t even screwed on correctly, and there were visible oil drops — problems that would have been obvious if any inspection had actually been performed.
Because we relied on what we were told, we drove more than 1,300 miles with little to no oil. The engine now has major internal damage, including a broken camshaft, and the vehicle is not safe to drive back to Rhode Island. We now have to pay to transport it or repair it out of state.
We’ve always trusted Sina and the sales side of the business, but the service department’s negligence has caused thousands of dollars in damage and put us in a dangerous situation. I strongly caution anyone considering using the service department at Kingstown Auto.
