Do not recommend

I’m second trimester pregnant and I went in to receive saline IV fluids after being weak and dehydrated from the stomach bug. I had a rough first trimester and had gotten saline IV’s off of a place on Perkins that is no longer there called Drip IV. The cost was $50 for a liter of saline at Drip IV. Surrounding areas cost $75. Not only was I charged $175 for a liter of saline, I was first instructed to get the Myers’s Cocktail instead, which apparently costs the same as the simple saline bag. I declined and showed her the letter from my midwife from my first trimester that I could only have 1 liter of saline fluids daily if needed. She then recommended adding Vitamin C. I declined that as well. Then she recommended I only use half to 2/3rds of the liter because of the salt content. She didn’t want me to get “cankles”, she said. Before she inserted the IV she mentioned I wouldn’t need much because I “didn’t look dehydrated or like I was about to faint”. Then when she tried to find my veins she said “it is good that you are here because you are very dry” (yes, that’s why I was seeking fluids). I proceeded to use half under her instructions trying to be cautionary of her advice even though it seemed to be very inconsistent. When all was said and done, I proceeded to check out and was charged $175. No transparency of price beforehand. I was in shock and just paid regardless ($180 total) thinking something must have been confused or miscommunicated. After talking with my husband, I emailed trying to understand how half a liter of saline could cost $175, and I was then told that I have to pay for the full liter even if it was not used (this was not mentioned anywhere along the process - zero transparency), nor that a liter of saline would cost as much as their Myer’s cocktail IV (which has vitamin C, zinc, glutathione, etc. additives - zero transparency), which I realized later that they itemized my bill as a Myer’s cocktail versus pure saline. So I thought surely they just mis-charged me for a Myer’s cocktail instead of a Saline IV. Nope, they responded that they do indeed cost the same price over at MetaGlow. Zero transparency. When my husband called to talk out the situation with the receptionist to see if anything could be resolved or accommodated, he was basically told that “she (as in myself the customer) should’ve asked” and “we have the right to price however we want”. Previously I was not going to go back for any services needed due to the price, but now I cannot recommend this business, this company, this doctor, to anyone who seeks medical, professional, friendly or even aesthetic help.
